The market for Cousins would be interesting. I don't think the Kings would find a suitor willing to meet their requests, whatever they may be. I think their asking price would be too high.

Yep, completely concur with you two. He needs to take it slow and ease his way into more minutes and production. He is 37 going on 38, after all. Which ancient in NBA terms.

Let Diaw, Splitter, Leonard and whoever else (Ayres or Baynes) pick up the slack.

Ex, you've been watching any of the Kings' games? How has Malone been doing so far?

And a culture of defense is a good idea but you need the players to do it. Otherwise...see the Kings.
There's nothing wrong with Cousins. And he really is that good. We don't have any perimeter defense to speak of though, so his defensive shortcomings (though that's improved this season, it's still average) get highlighted more....

But when Cousins is the main one getting steals in the passing lanes....what the hell else is he supposed to do? He can't be everywhere AND score 30 points AND grab 10+ rebounds.

I don't really think there is a good fit for him anywhere because the teams I'd like to see him on don't really need that scoring punch or want their young big men to develop.

Maybe the Wizards. I'd really like to see him traded to the Wizards so he can re-unite with Wall though. With the spacing Cousins would provide Wall and Beal would have wider lanes to drive in and they'd finally have that low post scorer that NeNe failed to fulfill. I definitely think it would put the Wizards into that 6-8 range.

We don't pass. Nobody wants to rebound besides Demarcus. And our defense is passible, but we couldn't shoot the ball into the ocean if we had a sniper rifle.

And our offense consists of "Take this 3. We missed? Jack up another. Here you go Cousins. Uh oh, outlet outlet. Transition 3, this gotta fall. Clank."

Just a whole bunch of clanking going on right now.

I love what Mills brings to the team man..we could've used him on rotation last year over Neal...

Great breakdown. Nick's right, theses inbounds play at the end where great.

Wade's decision making in the clutch has been suspect for a while.

Lol at refs taking a second away of the shotclock for no reason at the end.

So I take it, their early struggles are more of a players issue than it is Coaching?

Yeah, it's mostly a player's issue but the coaching isn't helping. We need to go ahead and just give Thomas the starting PG position and call it a day instead of letting Greivis start. As much as I like Vasquez, him and Thornton on the same floor just gives up points like it ain't nothing. At least Vasquez can pass, but if Thornton isn't scoring he's not contributing at all.

At least Thomas will do everything he can to keep his man in front of him and play the passing lanes and ignite fast breaks. McLemore needs to be starting. I've seen him at least give effort on the defensive end so him and Thornton are a wash. Neither are driving to the rim any time soon. Which is another reason I want Thomas starting because the spacing is superb with Both Patterson and Cousins out there that the driving lanes couldn't be any wider. Guys refuse to drive, settle for jumpshots, then they clank said jumpsots. It's all around irritating.

                        Oh I totally disagree.

Cousins is a franchise player, one of the most talented players the game has seen.

The problem is that they got too many guys who wanna shoot and not enough guys who want to do the little things.

Wizards got it right. They're taking charges all over the place. Thats what teams should look to do way more against theses guys that runs into the D all the time. That's the only way to defend theses plays.

Nene and Westbrook both ejected after a double double technical called.

                              Wasn't really much there.

True, but Neal was the more established guy with Pop. Mills also is in better shape physically this season. His lack of size still worries me, though.

Diaw is an up-and-down type player, but his passing ability and versatility can't be taught. He defended Carmelo for long stretches effectively. Most Spur fans are happy to have him, means less Bonner, yet wish he'd be more aggressive. I've liked him since he was in Phoenix and just wish he'd work on his conditioning.
