    The Kevin Durant Thread

Since LeBron has its own thread why can't kd?
    ...

Question. Will kd get a ring while LeBron is still in the league? I'll say absolutely not, especially with durants supporting cast, they're not going anywhere.
    Agree or disagree?

Please feel free to put your input. I'd like to hear this

    Re: The Kevin Durant Thread

LeBron has his own thread for a completely different reason. It was opened for the "decision" talk so it wouldn't be discussed in every single other thread.. And it's basically stayed open because we're about to go through the same thing again..

As for Durant, he can absolutely win a ring with LeBron in the league. This is LeBron's 10th year in the league and he has two rings.. It's not like it's just his to win lol..

Durant has made the finals once, it's not LeBron that's keeping him from winning.

Durant's current supporting cast really isn't that bad. Lots of young talent. Realistically if Durant and Westbrook just went on a streak at the right time, and at the same time, they could win it this year.. They're tough to handle when they get hot..

I honestly feel that coaching will play a bigger burden in them winning than supporting cast will.. That and I think when the game slows down Durant needs to get a little better at running the offense and setting people up rather than more ISO.. But again that's more on coaching than him.

Don't think hes going to win a title this year, or anytime soon. Team is young and talented. Just not enough depth on that roster.

        Thank you.
That's exactly what I'm thinking. Durant needs better supporting cast, and with LeBron in the league. Thunder will not win a ring I promise you that

How does LeBron control Durant winning a ring, that makes no sense.

How did Jordan prevent all the greats from winning a championship? I.e reggie miller and the others

Well Reggie and Jordan were in the same conference. Durant is in the West, and he's only made the finals one time.. LeBron isn't his problem.

Durant's ceiling is as high as management allows. Right now the Thunder don't have a championship caliber coaching staff.

I tried to make Kobe his own thread last year and it got deleted.

Kevin Durant, in my honest opinion, has potential to be one of the best players EVER and the BEST scorer in NBA history. He's a freak of nature. 6'10" with a lights-out shooting touch, great explosiveness, and guard-like handles? Unreal.

Only thing that's holding him back now is the mental aspect of the game. Is he aggressive enough to realize how great he can be?
