Only thing that's holding him back now is the mental aspect of the game. Is he aggressive enough to realize how great he can be?
For me he's going to need to improve everything else about his game to be one of the best ever.. We know he can score, but it's not getting him anywhere.

But I don't think he's the scorer some of the other great scorers were.. He has a better outside shot than most of them, but I don't feel he's as good of an all around scorer as a decent list of guys.

It's tough to judge because a lot of greats I honesty don't feel cared how much they score, where with Durant I really think he does.. Not that it's anything bad, or that he shouldn't do that, it just makes it hard to compare because unless you've just watched games all you really have is the numbers.

I think Durant needs a much deeper team personally. That 2012 team was great, but they were exposed in that series with a lack of depth off the bench period. That is really where Miami got the best of them followed by the supreme play of Lebron. Durant did everything he could that year there wasn't really any shortage in his game personally.

He doesn't have 3 point shooters surrounding him. He doesn't have a Big man who's consistent enough from what I have seen.

What he does have is Mr. Westbrook and he is by far irreplaceable to that team from what I saw in 2013 in the playoffs.

Things are interesting for them again this year. To me I truly don't think they can contend for a position in the Finals, but hey I sure as hell didn't expect to see them in the finals in 2012.

Oh my god can we not start the cycle with Durant.

He's not aggressive enough? Dude has three scoring titles.

Its not getting him anywhere? His last three years, the only years you could conceivably call OKC anythint close to a contender:

Lost in conference finals to eventual champion Mavericks in their first big time season.

Lost in finals to a great, great team.

Lost their second best player in the first round of the playoffs.

What do you guys expect? He's definitively the second best player in the leage only behind one of the best players of all time.

He's a great player. Its not his fault he hasn't won a championship. TEAMS win championships why don't people just accept that and stop trying to push the narrative of greatness.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. Durant needs better supporting cast, and with LeBron in the league. Thunder will not win a ring I promise you that
