as stand van gundy said, cleveland needs to just go throw bennett out there for 20 minutes a game and let him develop...but mike brown is meh..

also i dont understand why xavier isnt playing 30+ a night for lakers. he is the best option they have at SF and i really like his game in the up tempo system >>

Like Ive said before, Im fine with Bennett getting limited minutes until he shows he is ready to play more minutes. Against MIA, who plays some small ball, I wouldnt be against Bennett getting 10-15 minutes, and more if he doesn't look fatigued.

            agreed OJ, big time agreed.

@cavsfan, how are you supposed to show you are ready for minutes if you get a DNP or 4 minutes in garbage time?? playing time leads to results, not the other way around ^^

LeBron is a pretty decent guy. Anyone catch the little segment they had on him about the "I Promise" academy he runs still in Akron

Hope he ends up in Cleveland some day while he still has some gas in the tank so he can get them a title

"Iman Shumpert, Luol Deng and Evan Turner are the trade targets for the Cavs in exchange for Dion Waiters, according to Chris Broussard of ESPN.com"

I'm thinking the 6ers should trade Turner for Waiters + Bennett. I think it works out well for both teams.

nah, philly would have no SF unless they want to put bennett there for 25+ a game.

deng turner swap is perfect for both teams IMO, but chicago wants deng long term apparently....and well the knicks don't need waiters so maybe they can get him and varajeo/thompson

They could slide Young over to the 3 position and start Bennett at 4. Plus Anderson can play both SG/SF whilst Waiters starts at SG.

On the other hand, the Cavs getting Shumpert would be a big plus though Knicks don't really need another guy like Waiters.

Turty, its not that Bennett doesnt have the skills to play. The problem with Bennett is his conditioning and how it affects him on the court. He wasnt able to work out during the offseason, and another shoulder injury pushed him back further. He first needs to improve on his conditioning before we can expect him to play more minutes.

The games that he did play in, you can see how tired he got after a couple of minutes, and it affect his play(settling for jumpers). While more playing time gives him a chance to show more results, he needs to be in shape to play those minutes. He wont get into game shape soley by playing, he needs to put the
time and effort in off the court as well.

Well for ****s sake he's a professional athlete with professional trainers.. It doesn't take months upon months to get to the point where you can play 20ish minutes.

Dude was overweight in college the entire season. Hopefully he isn't a complete waste of a #1 pick, but I wouldn't be surprised. Besides the weight issue his skill set isn't really that intriguing either.

Especially for someone who is 20 years old. That's not really an excuse to me.

really? he can score from anywhere and has an excellent dribble and was great crashing the offensive glass...hes arguably got the best skillset in this draft offensively

-but yea, i think chicago needs waiters the most, but cleveland would have to find another 7-9mil to throw into a trade

I believe you're vastly overrating him but I'll just let his play continue to speak for itself. An excellent dribble? Score from anywhere? I don't see it, especially on the next level.

The positives that I saw in him was his decent athleticism for a big guy and a decent perimeter jumper. His range isn't unlimited by any means.
