      Re: Don\'t Count Out The Nets

      I don't count out the Nets. But Detroit is my pick to go to the Finals.

      I think if the Nets did make it, they would get beat pretty bad in the Finals. I think Indiana and Detroit have a far better chance against a team from the west, just because of their size.

            IMO, the Nets have no chance against either Detroit or Indiana. None at all.

                        Why not?

                        Break it down...

                        Edge:
                        PG = Nets (although Billups is a much better scorer than Kidd. In fact, the Nets are at their worst when Kidd has to shoot the ball a lot)

                        SG = Pistons

                        SF = Nets

                        PF = Push (Can't argue with K-Mart's ability, but having both Wallaces neutralizes a lot of him explosiveness)

                        C = Pistons (This goes hand-in-hand with the PF... Collins non-threatening Offensive skills allow his Man to leave him to double K-mart from the weakside without much threat. Remember, Ben Wallace is, arguably, the best weak-side defender in the NBA)

                        Bench = Pistons

                        Coaching = Pistons (can't argue with experience)

                        Intangible = Nets (been there, done that...they are the hump the Pistons need to get over)

                        With the fact that the health of some of the Nets best players is in question, the Pistons have a clear advantage going into the playoffs.

                        (Keep in mind these are all opinions...and I could be wrong.)

                              Simple. The Pistons are not far and away better then NJ, neither are the Pacers. Are they better then the Nets....most likely, but not totally out of their league. The Lakers, Kings etc... are teams that you can say would easily beat the Nets in a 7 game series.
