I don't really see the similarities except that nobody expects the Blazers to win it all even possibly after winning 50+ games.

These Blazers are much younger and extremely less experienced than those Mavs-- who had a seasoned Dirk, Kidd and Chandler.

Like someone else said as well, the teams simply don't compare defensively. Their team defense was more than respectable.
I agree with all of this except that the Blazers bench also has Wright and Robinson who have both been very effective with their minutes.. McCollum just got back from injury. He's played pretty well too.

But overall they just don't have the experience or defense they really need to make a big playoff push. And that Mavs team had more depth.

They could be a surprise team though. Tough to stop on offense.

Wasn't much of a play, just...let Parsons ISO and hope he scores.

Even though Parsons was scoring all of his points off the ball (There was a reason Harden had 13 or so assists...) it made no sense to try and let him be the ball handler in that clutch situation.

This season is a waste pretty much because McHale is such a horrible coach.

Lol i know what you mean. I played a dude who had kd last week, as if its not bad enough that durant was averaging like 40, he also had that 54 point game and buried my team on his performance alone lol.

How are the Wolves one game under .500? If they could come through in the 4th quarter, they really do have a solid team.

Not at this point you're right. At this point of the season Butler was out and I believe Dirk had just returned from his injury after the Mavs went like 2-7 without him. Before their injuries though the Mavs looked like one of the best in the league early on.

EDIT: Speaking of the Mavs, lol it's like a broken record. Allow a ton of points in one quarter (2nd, 39) and allow a career high with Teletovic. Didn't get to see the game but not surprised at the outcome. The Nets are really on the rise now. I'm glad Kidd has silenced the haters a bit.
