Great news. I'll be sure to write a thank you note to Danny Ainge if the Knicks advance.

Re: NY v. NJ series thread (SChedule inside)

Lets check out the matchups, IMO if they are healthy:
PG: Kidd > Marbury
Marbury is the better scorer but J. Kidd creates alot more, ignites fast breaks, and is a far superior defender and rebounder.
SG: Kittles > Anderson
Kittles is a very good, long defender that forces many turnovers to start fastbreaks. Give Kittles an open jumpshot and he'll drain it. Anderson is a bench player that shouldn't be starting.
SF: Jefferson > Thomas
Simply, RJ has improved too much to not be better than Thomas. RJ has great athleticism along with an improving jumpshot. He's also ideal for the Princeton offense that the Nets run. And remember, Jefferson averaged around 23 while K.Mart and Kidd were out. Thomas can't run with RJ and I don't think he can score the way RJ can.
PF: Martin > Thomas
Thomas can be deadly with his midrange shot but Martin is a great defender that can run the fast break. I predict Martin is going to alley-oop all over the Knicks.
C: Mohammed > Collins
Mohammed wins here just because Collins is terrible not because Mohammed is a good player.
Bench: Knicks > Nets
Nets don't have good back-up point guard which might hurt them especially if Kidd isn't 100%. Rodney Rogers is streaky but Harris is solid. Penny is a good veteran to have the bench and Baker, Mutombo make up good depth in the frontcourt.

Agree?
