Re: All of the series are at 2-0

The problem is the STRETCH! If these series go 7, it will be the 2nd week of May before we get into Round 2.

Pistons played Sunday and Wednesday for Games 1 and 2 - that is beyond stupid!!!

Then they get till Saturday to travel to Milwaukee for #3! That's idiotic.

    Seven game series should be:
Game 1 and 2 Back to Back
    Travel Day
Game 3 and 4 Back to Back
    Travel Day
    Game 5
    Travel Day
    Game 6
    Travel Day
    Game 7

You could open it up a little more in the Finals because of the likelihood of longer travel, but you DO NOT need 3 days off between games at the same venue!!!

I agree. This first-round wouldn't be so boring if they didn't stretch out the games too much. The NBA's schedule maker should be shot, this first-round should be over before May, 7 games or not. Same goes for the Semis, only the Conference Finals and NBA Finals should have a 2-3 day break in between games.

If the playoffs followed that format, they would get the best ratings ever. However, the revenue from possibly 40 less games wouldn't make Stern happy. I'm really anxious to see last season and this season's ratings compared to the last two years of the 5-7-7-7 format. I'm thinking the first round ratings have collapsed, but I might be wrong.

None of the underdogs have had a chance to play on their home floor yet. A lot of Game 3's and Game 4's will be won by the current series underdog, extending their series out, just watch. You guys are right, the long stretch between games sucks, but thats the price to be paid to be able to watch every single playoff game on TV without them overlapping all the time.

I'm not a big fan of any other major sport so I know what its like not having any NBA games on TV during the summer and it sucks. I'll take as many playoff games as I can get right now. Leave it at all best of 7's.
