I don't like the word 'deserves' either, but it will definitely suck seeing one of those teams miss the playoffs....
It is what it is though...Comment

It's not like I'm entitling anything to anyone. I'm simply saying one team(s) has more merit than the other. Don't get caught up in the words focus on the thought.Comment

Here's the thing the though, the way I see it is incorrect and it is entitling someone. You're making a half argument. We're looking at records and talking about who should be a playoff team or not. Where does that stop? It's not fair that OKC isn't going to get home court throughout the playoffs because they have to be the number 2 seed in the West when they're record shows they'd be the number 1 seed in the East right now. But oh, I can't make that point because that's different from crying about Portland possibly missing the playoffs while Charlotte makes it.
If you're going to champion who deserves something or not, then champion the whole cause, not part of it. As Pack mentioned, look at the context. The Blazers would be the 3 in the East right now. Do they have more merit and "deserve" that over the Raptors, Bulls and Nets just because they have a better record? Those teams started off slow, made some adjustments and now they're playing great basketball since January, certainly better than Portland has, but Portland's record is better so naturally they deserve that spot more than them, right? I don't know, I guess I just don't see the argument.Comment

Getting home court and simply making the playoffs don't compare. That's where it stops. Getting in to the dance is where it stopsComment

Please just give me the Clippers/Warriors in the first round. That will make me happy no matter what happens from there.Comment

Welp... down 20 at halftime, giving up 70points to this Sixers team...
The Pistons have gone and done it... they are about to let the 76ers will themselves to winning a professional basketball game.
Rodney Stuckey is playing terrible on both ends.
And to top it off.. the Pistons announcer sounds like he swallowed an uncut pineapple whole.
Well played Detroit... well played.
*PS* Kudos to Philly for playing with urgency tonight. A shame the sabotage is preventing this kind of effort on a nightly basis.Comment

Doc Rivers just sent Glen Davis to the locker room for talking back. Smh
Blake Griffin went out with back spasms. Right on cue for Blake to get hurt around playoff time. SmhComment
