First NBA game I've been to in years and it was a great game. Sad to see it end that way though.

I actually seats about eye level with the basket and that looked like an obvious goal tending call in real time, but I guess it is what it is.

Man, that Oneal goaltend/block was closer than I originally thought..that's a reviewable play isn't it?

The ball had reached it's top most height and was about to start the downward decent.

In a way the ball was in that stopped spot.

I'd have called goaltend, but I can see why it wasn't. Great for the Warriors.

To review the play, they would've had to call a goaltend initially. Since they didn't call it goaltending, they couldn't review it. Which raises the question, why not just call it a goaltend if there is any doubt? Then you could review it, let the play stand or overturn the call. I guess the refs felt like they were sure it was a clean block.

Nature of the this kind of stuff. Lots of bad calls throughout this game, I thought there were times were both teams got obviously hacked with no call, the Warriors had a lot of these down the stretch, lots of weak calls throughout, the last one just happened to be O'Neal's block/goaltend, which happened to be the biggest call of the night, so that's the one everyone's talking about.

But yeah, pretty ****ty job of officiating overall. Which is unfortunately something we'll probably in games involving all these fringe playoff teams for the next two weeks.

I'am glad brooklyn won, they played some good basketball. On the other hand I find the Rockets to be really hard to watch.

It could... Or it could be more of the same. Kobe unhealthy all season, Nash playing 11 games throughout the season (injured after every one of em), one more year of Mike D'Antoni, lottery team type of roster...

Mostly depends on who we draft, Kobe's health, who's coaching and if the lakers sign a solid FA in the offseason. Lakers, if things go well could make the playoffs next season... Or they easily could be last in the west again.

Bump that up to 30-12 since Jan. 1 and in addition to that, they've won 14 straight at home(which is now a Franchise record as of tonight) and haven't lost at home since Jan. 31 to OKC, they've defeated every team in the west including the top 8 teams out there(with the exception of Portland)at least once and they've been a top 10 defensive team in this time span.

I don't know how far this team is going and I don't think they'll win a championship this year...but based on what I've seen from them since the beginning of 2014 to now, I'd take this team against any team in the playoffs.

Lack of size inside is Nets biggest weakness and that's why they won't win this year imo. Not that I think you need a big starting 5 to win in today's league but you need size on the bench to go big if/when needed. I don't think they can beat the Pacers playing small and I don't think they can outsmall the Heat. Lopez was here it'd be another story for the nets and they would make some serious noises in theses playoffs.

And btw Lakers last year went on a run after the all star game too. They ended the season on a 28 and 13 run to get the 7th seed, if I recall correctly. Pretty good too.

How do you outsmall somebody? That's the first time I've ever heard of that term LOL

But yeah...Brooklyn-New York tonight at MSG. Just give me a W along with this again and I'll be good:

What I mean is that I don't think the Nets can beat the Heat at their own game. Playing small. Matchups aren't great if you look at it.

NBA refs accounted for at least ten of those wins. Don't forget that part. Nets are doing this on their own.
