      Cause he is Elden Campbell.

Actually, he'll get some time in this series. The Bucks were too fast for him to run with. Now, the Nets obviously are fast too. In fact, they are likely the fastest team in the league, but Sheed will need more rest with the foot. That will mean more time.

Re: Pistons vs. Nets: Second Round Thread

OK, I noodled on it for a few hours and came up with:

Clay's 3 Keys to the Series

            1. Kidd: Shooting or Passing - The Pistons will not be able to trap Kidd like they do every other PG in the league. Kidd won't be trapped into making bad passes and costly turnovers. The key here is whether or not they are forcing him into shooting situations. Kidd shooting in a set offense (vs transition) is advantage Pistons. If Kidd is passing and running his offense it is CLEARLY advantage Nets.

            2. Rasheed Wallace: My Left Foot - If Sheed is not playing at 90% or better he is going to have fits running with the Nets. That would mean a lot of help from Memo, Ham, and Campbell. The Pistons have their best chance with Sheed showing some kind of post presence. That's not possible if the foot isn't feeling well.

            3. The Team Manager/Coach: New Experience - This series is going to make Lawrence Frank be something he hasn't had to be yet....a Coach. What happens the first time tempers get out of hand? What happens when K-Mart gets T'd up for arguing? Does Franks have the marbles to step in and control an emotional team? This series is going to get heated. This series is going to get dirty. This series is going to be played out in the media daily. Can Franks hang?

            Bottomline:

This is the best series in the NBA this playoff season. I would be SHOCKED if either team dispatches the other in 4 or 5 games. This series is going 6 at the minimum. My prediction is the Pistons in 7 (Split in Detroit, Split in NJ, Home team wins out)

I'm pretty confident in Frank's coaching ability. His strategy against the Knicks, and the way he played Stephon Marbury was brilliant.
