If R.J had to actually check someone, maybe he wouldn't.

I know this thread isn't about the draft, but I really wish the Pistons hadn't mortgaged the brink of a championship for what looks to be a huge longshot bigman. Yeah, there's a premium on size, but D. Wade would look yummy off that bench right now. Especially at the 2, where he could break down the D and kick to Billups on the perimeter, or Big Ben cutting to the bucket. IMO, they would easily challenge even the Western conf. powehouse teams. As it stands, DET doesn't have enough offensive firepower to come back from a big deficit. If they start off poorly, they have little chance of winning.

If 'Sheed can get healthy, I'm still riding w/ D-town outta the East though...

I dont agree. What the Pistons need more than anything is a consistant post player. We have more than enough firepower to come back from big deficits (we came back from 20 down to beat both the Mavs and Lakers this season, before Rasheed) but all of the firepower is coming from jumpshooters. When you have a team full of jumpshooters, sometimes you hit a wall where no one can hit anything. It just happens. If we had a player that we can dump the ball to on the block who can score, it changes bad shooting games big time. Adding Carmelo Anthony really wouldnt solve our true problem, which is too many jump shooters, and no post presence.
