4/8 - 4/16 Games Discussion Thread

It's not that Brooks is a bad coach, I think he's a good coach.. It's just he doesn't have much of a set offensive scheme, which is perfectly fine the majority of the time.. But when the playoffs start, and the games are slower their offense looks like crap. It becomes basically whatever Durant and Westbrook can do, and neither are great playmakers.. Both good penetrating and kicking when the help comes, but neither really do things to purposely set up other players.. Which some of that falls on them, but also on Brooks because when he does get them to run a set Russ looks plenty capable of making it work.

I compare Brooks to how Mike Brown was coaching LeBron. He's a good defensive coach, and good at swinging the game to the tempo he wants it at.. But he's just fortunate to happen to have offensive players who excel in a free lance type system..

I don't think he's down on Browns level, he's a much better coach than Brown.. But their situation and strengths vs. weaknesses are similar.

That Miami@Memphis game was awesome. Some incredible offensive plays on both sides but Miami got out hustled. Loving Memphis's energy... Crazy to think that this team could miss the playoffs. If they get in, watch out, it won't be an easy task to beat them.

Man, the 90's were a looooooong time ago...it's just time to let these guys be who they are...from both ends. A lot of the guys that 'hate' comparisons are the same ones who use those same comparisons to bring down a current player. I think it just all need's to stop. Every wing cant be Jordan, every big cant be Keem.

Anyway, I cant wait for the playoffs....especially in the west....it's going to be a straight up slug fest.

LeBron is the best in the world but why he always stare people down after he makes a shot. Lance Stephenson gets T's for that type of thing.

Lance got a technical for opening his mouth in Wade's face after having already gotten a technical. Not that I agree with it but it's a false statement.

Players have the right to look wherever they want after they make a shot, thank god lol we're not to that point where we control where players look at. Jeez.

So Pacers rested all starters and won. Scola is apparently a beast when he's starting. But the most important thing was Copeland. 7/8 for 18 points including the GWer. If this doesn't wake Vogel up to start playing Cope more then this guy seriously has a problem... There is literally no reason not to and that game is proof of it. His defense sucks but so does Scola's and Cope is far more versatile offensively.

Lance got a tech because the ref was surrounded by four of the Heat's starting 5 crying in his face and DWade crying from a distance. The ref didn't even hear what he said and called a tech. Not that NBA refs weren't already a joke, but that was a joke.

If Lance didn't open his mouth and talked to Wade he woudn't have gotten a tech. It wasn't even about what he said. That tech was a joke but it still was a mistake on his part to do it considering what happened before.

The Heat-Pacers game is more than likely determining the conference title.

Friday vs Pacers
Saturday @ Hawks
Monday @ Wizards
Wednesday vs 76ers

Pacers:
Friday @ Heat
Sunday vs Thunder
Wednesday @ Magic

Heat I'll see going 2-1 in the other games and Pacers 1-1. So that record right now would have both teams tied, so Fridays game will be huge.
