Player-wise I'm mostly worried about Martell. He's been very erratic of late. If Beal struggles Miller will play a lot. Especially considering Hinrich ain't breaking no one down off the dribble. Like ahobert said, Thibs scares me because he has proven capable of making adjustments where Whitman is a unknown quantity. Our intensity has waned at times (come out flat only to mount a furious comeback) so we're gonna need to come out and play with emotion, especially in that first game. Can't get discouraged early.

I did but it was a joke. I thought it was funny that a few years back Brooks signed a deal with a Chinese team like 3 days before the lockout ended. He was forced to stay in China for most of that season so I had a caption that said "Lost in China" or something like that.

I'm actually a Lakers fan but I've been a Wiz season ticket holder for 6 years so they have become my defacto second team.

Well at least you got in on the season ticket deal while no one cared. Looks like it is paying off now.

Relocating to Orlando, I've thought about getting Magic season tickets. They are cheaper than dirt at the moment.

Its worth it if you love NBA Basketball. Before this year, I had tickets just to watch the top players on other teams and to watch Wall develop.

Never had a problem with them and basically paid them no attention. But over the last few weeks/months they've been so annoying.

Best believe if we win this series, they'll bust out the "The league wants it's premier market team in the 2nd rd instead of Toronto since it means better ratings" nonsense.

The "premier market" thing is poppycock IMO. Yes Brooklyn is a trendy team but I don't see them as some uber premier team like Miami or Boston when they're good. I will say this, if the Raptors lose it'll be more due to the experience of the Nets than anything else.

No one in their right mind thought the Raptors would even have a decent record much less what they did this year. This is all frosting on the cake IMO and if they lose in 4 sure, i'll be disappointed but in the larger scope of things I'll be ok with it and understand.

I do think if we start seeing some fishy calls that favor the Nets than you're going to see some complaining and you really can't blame fans too much for that. You know as well as I do that you'd do the same if you were in that position.

I'm expecting a tough, hard fought series. I think the key for the Raptors is for them to win the first two games or it'll be real tough sledding. I'm hoping the fans will come out, make some noise and be energetic throughout the series.

You act like fans can't be happy when their team does well. Raps haven't been to the playoffs in 6 years and were supposed to tank a quarter into the season. SMH, let us be happy and enjoy a bit of attention.


That being said I'm nervous for this series. Demar is gonna to have to stay aggressive and not shy away from the physical play. Best believe AA is gonna be in his mug the entire series.


Can't wait to see the ACC bumping this Saturday.

I could give two ****s if ya'll are happy. Congrats, ya'll are relevant for the first time in 7 years(Irony I know, considering we just made the playoffs last year after a 6 year absence). Doesn't mean I don't get annoyed everytime I hear a Raptors Fans constantly complaining about Americans not giving their team respect(there's a reason for that but I'm sure you guys know why)or constantly complaining about the Refs always trying to screw ya'll this year in every game. Just my observation from what I've seen this year.

Premier market as in Big Market team, not premier market as in premier team which is what we are since we play in a Big Market City.

Actually I wouldn't because most here know that I rarely point fingers at the Refs. If anything, I defend them more than I point the finger at. Blaming the refs for a loss is a lazy excuse people throw out most times because they refuse to look for reasons as to why their team didn't do enough to win the game so they just say "The refs screwed us!" Or when folks look at FT discrepency or Foul Differential when those only tell a small part of the story.

It's funny because I didn't hear Raptors Fans blaming the refs when they got their 2 other W's over us. And honestly, I expect them to take Game 1 since they'll be riding that emotional high of being the divisional winner and hosting their 1st playoff game in 7 years. Hopefully, the outcome is the same as it was 7 years ago.

LOL! Thats a pretty good translation.

I will say that owning season tix has made this team grow on me a little. Watching 20-30 games of a team a year of a team live will do that to you. They will never replace my Lakers though. My fellow season ticket holders in my section hate when I come to the Lakers game in full Lakers garb.
