Re: 2014 Eastern Conference Playoffs -1st Round Discussion Thread
I even think the Wizards could upset. Depends on how much emphasis you put on experience really(for both the CHI/WSH and TOR/BKN series). I don't put a ton on it, but enough that I think it could be a difference in a series with a very experienced team vs a young team that has very little if any experience.Indianapolis Colts
Indiana Pacers
Indiana Hoosiers
Notre Dame Fighting Irish

A lot of people may pick the Nets, but I'd like to know if it would surprise them if the Raps won. That's all I'm saying. I really don't think it would be that surprising considering the Raps are the 3 seed and have home court.Comment

Re: 2014 Eastern Conference Playoffs -1st Round Discussion Thread
Being honest, outside of Miami going out in the first I wouldn't really be surprised if Toronto, Atlanta or Washington advances. In order of likelihood according to me.
Brooklyn may not be coming in hot, but their experience will be the deciding factor in this one. I don't want to write off what Toronto has done, wouldn't mind seeing them advance, but I expect Brooklyn to move on with relative ease. Chicago has real problems scoring, but this year it doesn't feel like quite the elephant as it was before. And it was an issue before. We'll see, but I'm giving the nod to Chicago on account of experience and pure determination. Chicago going out would be borderline surprising. The Indiana issues are almost too perfect, but I expect them to get it together for the first round.
On the other hand, Toronto is almost the perfect storm. It's not that they have no business finishing with the 3 seed, but it's kinda like that and they have nothing to lose. Maybe they expose Brooklyn for the team many thought they were, earlier. It's been a long year, Chicago has continued to chug along in spite of-, but suddenly struggles to keep pace with an up and down Washington squad. Indiana seems too easy, but Atlanta does possess the shooters to threaten an Indiana squad.
I do think it's funny that some of these teams want to avoid a team (Chicago) that struggles to score so much but, again, I don't feel that it's as big of an issue this year. Then again, the championship isn't exactly in the sights...Comment

I don't know I'm just going off what I've read but it seems like most think its an automatic Pacers, Heat, Bulls, Nets "final four."

Re: 2014 Eastern Conference Playoffs -1st Round Discussion Thread
I think the Wizards/Bulls series might actually end up being the most entertaining. It'll be really interesting to see what Thibs has up his sleeve to slow down Wall, who I believe was the best in the league at finding spot up shooters. The Bulls are also strong downlow, but the Wizards have a BUNCH of guys they can throw in to bang down low and combat the Bulls' strength down there. I think its gonna be a great series.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
NBA: Dallas Mavericks
MLB: Texas Rangers
NHL: Dallas Stars
NCAA: Alabama Crimson Tide

Re: 2014 Eastern Conference Playoffs -1st Round Discussion Thread
The Bulls struggle against these teams that utilize the two guard attack, something not to be overlooked here. I do also like Washington's post game, but I think the Bulls have their rotation almost perfected. I don't discount any playoff experience Washington may have, but these pieces saw battle elsewhere. This Bulls team has the experience and chemistry as a group, something I put a bit more stock into. I do think there are some intriguing elements to this matchup, and to these other games, but I think for the most part expectations are fairly clear.
If there had to be ONE upset, I'm not sure I would really take Toronto over Atlanta, though..Comment

Already this **** is good. Names I haven't seen in the bball forums all year outside of maybe once or twice. Trash talking, rivalries, annoyances. I love the NBA Playoffs on OS. If people aren't following the playoffs here, then they aren't truly experiencing the NBA postseason.Comment
