theyve gotta get either noah, taj gibson, sullinger, harrison barnes, or klay thompson back unless they are getting like 4 picks unless they want to continue to be an 8th-13th pick team...but even with those guys they still probably arent making the playoffs in the west, but if they trade with a team getting a top 7 pick they are in a better situation
They don't have much of a choice. They're at the mercy of wherever Kevin Love wants to go. You either take what the team is willing to give or you lose him for nothing.

Very, very long shot scenario? Noah's recruiting convinces Melo to sign for about 14-15 million after using the amnesty on Boozer and shipping out Dunleavy, Bulls then trade Taj, Jimmy Butler, the rights to Mirotic and a pick or two for Love.

No bad on paper, but leaves you with probably an absolute garbage bench.. I'm not sure there is enough shots to go around for Rose, Melo, Love. But maybe. Also takes you from arguably the best D in the league to middle of the road

Though having Rose, Melo, Love, and Noah probably makes them the best rebounding team in the league by a long shot.

What's the scoop on Deng? Is Chicago trying to bring him back? Not sure how the contracts work out but if they could get Deng and either Melo/Love, a healthy Rose, and a solid role player from the draft, they would be nasty.

You'd think they could draft someone like TJ Warren or Kyle Anderson to give the second unit some offense.

bulls wont be drafting anyone if they get love and i dont think deng would want to go back (just my guess) im also not sure hed want to come off the bench if melo is at the 3 (deng in dallas maybe?)

                bulls roster would be like..

rose-butler-melo-love-noah, hinrich-augustin-snell mohamed smith?? noah love and melo would have to be playing 40 minutes a game >< and by becoming much worse defensively at the forward spots im no sure chicago is a championship threat after that

Deng is done in Chicago. Only way he ends up back here is if the Bulls miss out on Melo and Love. Even then it's not a guarantee because he's looking to get paid. If the Bulls land Melo and/or Love they won't have the money to sign Deng unless he plays for the minimum which I doubt.

As for the Bulls' bench, doesn't really matter all that much with that lineup. Miami's bench isn't really anything to write home about, but when you have players the caliber of LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade in your lineup playing 35+ minutes, you can afford to have less than stellar players making up a bench. Besides that, Tony Snell will fill Jimmy's defensive role once he's gone and I think Noah and Thibs could help Love and Melo's defensive efforts ton. Unlike Boozer, I think they're players that DO want to be better defensively.

i think just by going to the east love is a better defender.. hes not going to be guarding nearly as many "stars" or big time forward/centers

i understand what you are saying about miami because since they made the big three i said they had a sh.. bench, but thats lebron james, head and shoulders better than anyone on the bulls. id compare the bulls potential lineup to something like OKC - ish

Assuming Boozer gets amnestied, they have $16M to get vets and/or Melo/Love. If they go into the tax, they would have $30M instead of $16M. Not sure how the $/years would work out, but you could backload the contracts to try to get Melo at about $16M this year then sign another big name FA and some vets and deal with paying the tax. Trading Taj would clear up $8M if they want to stay under the tax.

If they trade Butler and players + picks for Love, I think they should try to sign Lance. Agree on Luol, did some researching and I think he just wants to get paid. Bulls starters don't sit much so you're right about needing less of a bench lol.

Washington needs to get someone not named al harrington and drew gooden to come off the bench and they would be in the ECF right now taking miami to probably 5-6 games.. to bad their pick is going to phoenix though, they could get a decent prospect big from this draft in that slot (maybe go after blair, kanter, or ed davis this summer? not sure if they have the cap space **ofc this is after getting gortat resigned**)
Lol you made it sound like Harrington and Gooden are the reason why Washington isn't in the ECF when that's not the case at all.
