Difference between being a high percentage shooter when everyone leaves you open and when you're challenged by the defense. John Wall is in the same boat. He shoots great from the right elbow, but he is also open on the right elbow on like 80% of his pick and rolls. Rondo isn't AS bad as he's made out to be a lot of the time, but he's not even close to the best shooting point guard.

On another note, my wishlist for the offseason is as follows:

          1. Melo goes to Chicago. Want to see him playing the 4 next to Noah, with Butler/Rose/LaVine (wish 1b.)

          2. SVG goes to Golden State....... nevermind.

          3. Greg Monroe goes to Dallas. Would be awesome offensively next to Dirk.

4a. Love goes to Houston (for Jones, Parsons, and whatever). Harden, Love, and Dwight would be awesome to see. Also, I believe in Jones and Parsons is a very good player and would add some big shooting for Rubio's lack of it. Martin and Parsons on the wing would really help stretch the floor. Some more filler/picks from Houston.

4b. Love goes to Phoenix. This is what I want ohsobad. This is the trade I've come up with and I think it's a great deal for both sides. Phoenix includes the 14th pick this year or the Lakers pick next year (which is only top 5 protected).

Goodwin was the youngest player in last year's draft and has a ton of a potential, Len has a bunch of potential though he didn't show much last year. Morris had a really good season last year and should stretch the floor for them, and Green should fit really well next to Rubio as a shooter/finisher.

A 5 of Rubio/Green/Martin/Morris/Pekovic should be really good offensively, and then they have Len and Goodwin to develop, plus whoever they draft. That team isn't really any worse than the one with Love.

With their choice of the two picks Minnesota isn't doing any better than that. Phoenix could go really crazy and throw in both picks but I think that'd be overkill, though Minnesota would be crazy to turn down.

As far as Phoenix they'd have a 5 of Bledsoe/Dragic/Tucker (or FA signing/Love/Plumlee with Frye off the bench. When Plumlee sits you have an insane five-out lineup with Love and Frye as the bigs. That'd be awesome to see and really effective. I still have my reservations as to a Bledsoe/Dragic backcourt being effect longterm due to size, but since there aren't really any great two guards aside from Harden I suppose it's not a huge concern.

I know Phoenix isn't on Love's list or whatever, but they really should be. The year they had was really great and showed how smart their coach and front office are. If they turn into a real option he really needs to consider it.

You'd think they could draft someone like TJ Warren or Kyle Anderson to give the second unit some offense.
The Mavs are probably gonna make a strong push to acquire Deng.

I agree on not trading Beal for a big, but your reasoning is way off. First, the Wizards aren't even in game 6 without Gooden and Harrington. Either way, I like Nene but none of them have much of a future. The Wizards aren't winning anything next year and I wouldn't count on Nene much longer than that... if he can stay healthy enough to even be a big factor next year. I might say PF is their biggest need. Ariza will likely be gone but they've got options there.

Also last healthy Rondo was incredible from Midrange, I believe he was in the top of the league from there. He's not good at 3s but that's not a big deal.
Anything about Rondo's jump shot shouldn't be in the same sentence with "top of the league". It's a defensive strategy to leave him wide open... the % he makes may look good compared to the rest of the league but it should be compared to the rest of the league shooting alone in a gym... in which case it still looks bad. The guy can't shoot, plain and simple. Like Wall he's getting better, but he's still bad. I wouldn't even give him average.

The history of the original Charlotte Hornets (1988-2002) is coming back to Charlotte! All stats/records/etc and potentially Bobby Phills retired number.

This is incredible. Hats off to MJ and the franchise, and especially to the Pelicans. Tom Benson & co are a class act.

Love is a talent that's hard to pass up, but I think I'd rather see Wall and Beal grow together. I think as Wall develops, PF is a position that can be used for a good defensive big who crashes the boards and can set a good pick. I think if they were to have another star that could get them in a serious championship hunt, it needs to be a SF.

That's my initial, off the top of my head reaction though.

I'm late to this..If the Wizards even think about trading Beal..City would go up in flames, and who ever thought about that should get kicked in he teeth. John would want out if we do that.. I'm ok with Nene right now..He's not the problem, Like our chances for next year. Just want a backup 2guard that can score..Right now it's hit or miss with Ariza and it seems as if he wants to stay...

Could Ariza leave if he wanted? I don't know his status. You guys better pray he stays, I like his role on that team and you aren't going to get much better.

Beal is a definite keeper, you don't trade him for anything. I watched a lot of his game in the playoffs and I think he's a future big star.

I hope you're playing center, I was a PG when I was young and, even worse, my game is more like Bosh when I'm on the wing these days. I can still coach though... hear there may be an open spot there, lol.

I actually agree with you guys but I think these reactions are a bit much when the player coming back is Kevin Love, no? I mean even if Beal reaches the crazy potential we seem to be expecting, I'm still not sure I'd rank him ahead of Love doing what he's already doing today. KL is a bad man... but like I said, I do agree with not trading Beal bc I think the youngins need to grow together, and don't think adding Love (and losing Beal) will take them to a championship level.
