Maybe he looked at Chicago and said "I already tried the whole pairing up with an injury prone guy to win. I'll take my chances with Phil and see what he can do next year."

Just because Chicago is a better team this upcoming year doesn't mean that he definitely wins it all there. Why sacrifice the money to go to a team where you still likely wouldn't be the favorite?

I can't imagine playing for Tom Thibideau's play until you drop style of basketball really appealed to Melo either.

Phoenix would've been a great destination for him.

Bosh to Houston is the one big move I am looking forward to seeing.
I like the moves actually. Melo staying or going is news. LeBron getting out of the southeast division is music to my ears and Cleveland becomes a team I want to watch again. And Bosh goes leaving Miami where it should have been 4 years ago..........in the trash

Then again it's not like Melo went to play in Qatar. He can still be in a position to win in NY within the next few years. Phil will put together a winner at some point.

Just like I've been saying for the last three months, money was Melo's first, second and third priority. Now let's see how well Phil can build a team around him.

Possibly the biggest move this whole off-season outside of LeBron

I'd have preferred Bron to stay in Miami. They'll never be as dominant as they were as long as they have so much money tied up in Wade's corpse.
