Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I wish nash would just retire he is going to make 8.5 million if he doesn't retire and I don't think he can go more then a few games with out getting hurt any more. The lakers have never had a long long streght of being bad like the Celtics have. Even though the Celtics have the most championships in NBA history after the 80's they sucked in till like 2008 and now suck again. I am thinking it could end up being something like that for the lakers now. I think a lot of it is jeary bus not being around any more.Comment

I think they should go after Wade too. The guy may be over the hill at this point but he can help that team.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
NBA: Dallas Mavericks
MLB: Texas Rangers
NHL: Dallas Stars
NCAA: Alabama Crimson Tide

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Klay definitely got better this year. He is, without a doubt, the best 3 and D guy in the league. But that's all he is, I think he still has room for improvement namely improving his court vision and passing abilities but at his best I see him as a fringe all star.
Kevin Love is a superstar. A Curry/Love combo will always be better than a Curry/Klay combo. Klay isn't a guy you can just give the ball to and have him go to work, Love is. Love would prevent guys from just keying in on stopping Curry because of the presence of two dominant offensive presences on the floor.
People point to Klay being able to guard opposing point guards so Curry doesn't have to being important. This is where Livingston comes into play since he can play that role now and also be a ballhandler so Curry can work more offball. Not to mention we still have defensive stalwarts Iggy, Draymond, and Bogut in the middle.
Yeah the livinstton singing was a good one. Yeah love is just a great great player and curry I think is getting close to being a superstar him self. He needs to improve his shoot selection some though has he forces to many shoots at times.Last edited by wwharton; 07-11-2014, 04:19 PM.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I am just spoild by the lakers has they are not bad that often and I really want kobe to get one more championship. A few years ago I though they would but know I don't. The lakers didn't make the playoffs last year and the year before lost in the first round. If the lakers the next 2 years don't make they playoff or loses in the first round and then kobe retires that would mean that in kobe's last 4 years they didn't even get passed the 1st round. I don't want kobe to go out like that 4 years on bad teams.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
No Wade please. He had his chance here and he hit us with the deuces. If we can land Melo and he wants to come along for the MLE, then cool. But I wouldn't pay that dude no damn 12-14 million a year to be hurt here. I didn't like paying Rip's *** 5 a year for that **** lol. We've already had one ICU backcourt, don't need another. Not for some steep price anyway.
