Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
As someone already mentioned, the deals are going to get worse for the Wolves the closer we get to the deadline because teams know he can walk at that point. Right now is the highest value they're going to get for him. Now if Cleveland and GS want to wait it out until the deadline, that's cool for them because they can offer trash at that point, but Minnesota needs to be trying to get a deal done now.Indianapolis Colts

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Possibly but it's July 22nd. You guys are acting like it needs to happen right now when Love is still under contract through the next season. As far as I've heard they've gotten only 2 offers for him. They are a small market team. Their options are limited if they lose Love. They SHOULD be patient and get the best deal they can.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Fair point. My point was the bulls were a lot more likely to get a deal for kevin love done before they signed Pau. Opportunity window may have already closed despite whats being reported.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
what if they are sending pau to minny... :P
i figure if love ISNT traded he will be SnT because these teams he wants to be on dont really have the money to give him the contract he will demand..but at that point minny is getting the bare minimum backComment

Their contracts aren't guaranteed.. They can waive them without owing them anything.

Mavs going to kick the tires on Jameer Nelson on Thursday. I hope Dallas can find a stable PG, that's their weakest link obviously. All they need is a quarterback

I think Jameer could add some really good value to a playoff team. He's pretty solid all around

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I really hope some team trades for love and he turns right around and just leaves them. I'm so sick of these teams pulling crap like this just bc of their impatience. Could you imagine a Cavs with wiggins, waiters, Irving, Lebron and love. They would be a serious threat. Or even GSW with Klay (assuming he's soften that max BS he's. Demanding), Barnes lee love and curry? That's an amazing lineup. Yet these teams are throwing away assets just so they can get their hands on him now. They should just be worried about pitching to him why he should come there in the first place.

Nick Johnson, the 42nd overall pick in June’s NBA draft, will sign a fully guaranteed, three-year rookie contract with the Houston Rockets, a league source told RealGM.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I really wanted us to give Jameer a look because I think it'd be fantastic to get a player like that for what he looks like he'll be making this late in the free agency game. I'm a little disappointed that we didn't give him a shot, but I'm also a little excited to see what Thibs' system can do for Brooks. Every year since he's taken over this team, he's made some backup PG relevant. CJ, John Lucas, Nate, DJ, hell even Hinrich. Hopefully Brooks can continue that trend.Comment
