I don't think you should go around saying "the Suns are using RFA against me"...but they essentially are for leverage...it's the way the process works. Teams do the same type tactics to snatch players away and put teams in a tough position to match. (Like Cuban/Parsons) It's up to both sides to work things out and come to an agreement..besides the dumb quote, it's all standard procedure...don't know why the players are always vilified in the process...

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Bledsoe is a whiny piece of ****. I don't want this guy anymore. I'm sick of these basketball players who think they're better than they are or have more power than they really do. It's a big part of what's driven my interest almost completely into the ground. Whine some more, ya dummy. Whine some more.
I only want guys like with the same motor and loyalty Dragic, Thomas, Tucker, and Tolliver have on my team. Tolliver and Thomas were ECSTATIC to be courted and signed by Phoenix.
I don't care if Bledsoe is a good player with a great ceiling. He's clearly an idiot and a primadonna. Apparently the prime example of the "2014 Athlete."
He's injury prone, there were multiple instances throughout the season where he didn't appear like he was playing his hardest, and now all this stuff. Using the rules against you? Uh yeah, no **** bro. You're a RFA.
If we actually re-sign this guy, he's going to have to do a helluva lot to make things right with Suns fans. We are pissed.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I wasn't even referring to Matrix tbh...used to that, lol
Just in general though...don't know why it's the thing to do to jump on the player in these circumstances...it's a negotiation...both sides have a hand in the situation...Comment

I think we all could agree he deserves more interest than he's getting but no team (except philly) really has the cap which is why he should just take the QO

Low P&R with balanced paced offense. Nothing to sexy with a slower pace our defense should be better.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Should be an interesting year at least. I'am really excited to see how it goes for Lin, Randle and Kobe. Lin could have a big year here, I think he will handle the ball quite a bit and have a chance at putting up some solid numbers.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I mean I do understand his frustration a little bit. He's a very talented player (still not deserving the max) that was swept under the rug by the whole LeBron and Melo thing. At first we were seeing teams like the Heat and Lakers that were gonna go after him and it just didn't happen.

If he's demanding max money, then no he doesn't deserve to have more teams making him offers. Having said that, I can understand where he's coming from seeing all the guys getting paid more than they should.

Bledsoe isn't being vilified for the process. He's being vilified for making stupid statements painting the team as supposedly abusing the rules to avoid paying someone "what he's worth."
Well, Bledsoe thinks he's "worth" way more than he is, considering the fact that nobody has thrown his *** an offer sheet. The Suns letting the market dictate his value is not abusing the rules, and he needs to understand that before he comes out whining and sounding like the world is out to get him or something.
I'm all for people trying realize their earning potential, but Bledsoe clearly is not living in reality. And he's free to have an opinion but Suns fans are free to call him an idiot if his opinion is dumb. Given the circumstances, his opinion is egregiously idiotic.Last edited by TheMatrix31; 07-27-2014, 12:18 PM.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Bledsoe could've stopped at "I'll let my agent handle it"...granted...but I didn't see where Bledsoe said the Suns were bending the rules...really no need to overdramatize his comments...
At the end of the day, the Suns publicly saying they'll match any offer hinders some of the offers he may have received...which is fine & within the Suns right...but after some of the contracts I've seen this summer, I'm not mad at him all for also exercising his right to seek a better offer...
True, neither side should be blamed....but I don't see anyone calling the Suns pieces of **** either..Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I never claimed the Suns were doing anything wrong. That's how restricted free agency works. I mean hell if they can't agree to terms he can just accept the QO this off-season and play his way into a max contract this season or whatever. I'm just saying let's slow down the hyperbole train because a guy is upset. It happens. I mean after seeing the contracts Parsons and Hayward got he's probably salty but like I said he can just take the QO no need to crucify dude.Comment

Why is that a negative though? If they say they'll match any offer that means a max as well. Nobody has offered him that however so why is that an issue? So the Suns shouldn't declare how much they want to keep someone? The Rockets said they intended to match on Parsons, didn't stop Dallas from throwing the max at him.
