      Jordan is "cool with it".

Michael Jordan has no problem with Danny Green changing his jersey number to No. 14 in his fifth year with the San Antonio Spurs.

"I'm cool with it,'' Jordan told ESPN.com via text message Monday morning. "I don't own that number.''

According to league sources, an “ominous development” has arisen with sides still “very far apart” in contract negotiations. It has even escalated to the point where the “relationship is on the express lane to being ruined,” a source with knowledge of the situation informed CSNNW.com.

The Suns offered Bledsoe a four-year, $48 million deal with declining salaries each year, two sources said. That proposal was quickly turned down. Bledsoe’s camp is putting a max price tag on the player Suns Head Coach Jeff Hornacek called “a Top-10 player in the NBA in coming years”, another source said.

Phoenix has made it known publicly and repeatedly that they intend to match any offer sheets competitors issue out to Bledsoe. This tactic has succeeded in scaring away any potential suitors so far. However, the effort by the Suns to undermine Bledsoe’s market is what has angered Bledsoe and his reps and led to a standoff in which the relationship is now on the verge of being irreparable, we’re told.

Bledsoe is crazy man. He must seriously overvalue himself. That 4 year/48 million offer is more than fair. He had one good season where he barely even played half of it and suddenly he thinks he's worth the max?

It's totally Bledsoe's right to feel highly valuable. I'm all for that. I just don't get the twist in this where the Suns are somehow at fault for "undermining" him in any way. That's ridiculous.

I don't know man. I guess it's in his right to see his market and feel valuable, but at this point the market he's expecting isn't there. The max? Dude is crazy. 40 games worth of production? Get out of here. Not saying he isn't talented or anything, but for him to expect a lump sum of money at his front door is ridiculous. He needs to sign on for a short term deal to give teams a better look at him.

He's not getting paid for what he's done but what he's going to do. Was Wall worth the max when he got it,Paul George and others. With Point Guards being a staple in today's NBA he's going to demand and receive much more than he's worth same thing that's happening in the NFL with QB's.

Wall and George were franchise players though. Their teams were building around them. That's not really the case with Bledsoe.

This is one of the dumbest stories I've seen in a while. Makes no sense man. What I will say about the Suns in this one, is that I don't think it's cool giving him decreasing salary in that deal they offered. What's the deal with that? It's not like the dude is in the waning years of his career to warrant something like that.
