    Laker Loyalty Test

Yeah Got 19 out of 20. Damn Sedale Threatt, I didn't think it would be him. I barely got #20 with the help of my brother. My first choice was the Sonics but then he told me it was a team that I hated the most then I chose the Jazz and I got it right. It was a pretty easy test.

                1. Name the Lakers starting five in Game 2 versus the Spurs. (If you get this wrong, simply log on to a travel website, find a cheap ticket and get the hell out of here.)

                PG: Gary Payton
                SG: Kobe Bryant (I think)
                SF: Deavon George
                PF: Karl Malone
                C: Shaquille O'Neal

                2. Who is Lew Alcindor?

                Kareem Abdul-Jabaar

                3. Believe it or not, Shaq hasn't always been a Laker. What's the only other team Shaq Diesel has played for?

                Orlando Magic

                4. What's Shaq's alma mater?

                LSU

                5. Even more shocking, Kobe wasn't originally a Laker when he was drafted in 1996. Name the team that drafted him, and who did the Lakers trade to acquire the teen phenom from Lower Merion High school?

                Charlotte Hornets. Traded Vlade Divac

                6. The Lakers were not founded in L.A. What city was the original home of this storied franchise?

                Minniapolis

                7. How many championships have the Lakers won since moving to L.A.?

                9

                8. Why did Shaq have to change his number from 32 to 34 after joining the Lakers as a free agent?

                Magic Johnson retired that number

                9. Who was the last tenured coach before Zen Phil?

I know Kurt Rambis coached them the year before Phil.

We're feeling generous and offer this photo of Pat Riley as a hint.10. Where did the Lakers play before calling The Staples Center home?

                Great Western Forum

                11. Who coined the phrase "Showtime"?

Magic Johnson or Chick Hearn ???

                12. Who was the starting center for Game 6 against the heavily favored Dr. J-led Sixers, scoring 42 points, grabbing 15 rebounds and dishing out seven assists, shocking the hometown crowd at the Spectrum and clinching the "Showtime" Lakers their first NBA championship 123-107?

                Magic Johnson

                13. Who was the starting point guard for the Lakers before Magic was drafted in 1979?

Tough one, before my time. I don't know, Norm Nixon, only one I can think of

                14. With Magic hobbled, what team shocked the Lakers in the first round of the 1981 playoffs, led by Moses Malone?

I know two Western teams he was on were Spurs and Rockets. It's one of those two.

                15. Who was the Lakers coach when they lost?

                don't know

                16. Who is the Lakers all-time leading scorer?

                Mr. Clutch

                17. What savvy veteran led the Lakers in scoring and assists in 1992-1993?

Year after Johnson left. Can't really think of any Lakers except Byron Scott and James Worthy. Wasn't really a big-time Laker fan.

                18. During that campaign, the Lakers finished eighth in the Western Conference, and almost pulled a major upset in the first round. Who was the team?

                Phoenix, Seattle, not sure

                19. In 1971-1972, the Lakers went on an ungodly tear, winning a ridiculous 33 in a row (an NBA record that still holds to this day) in the regular season. Who did they beat in the NBA Finals, and what future Laker coach was on that team?

                Phil Jackson's Knicks

                20. Due to free agency compensation for the loss of Gail Goodrich, the Lakers were awarded the No. 1 pick in the 1979 NBA Draft (where they got Magic, of course) after this team had the worst record in the league. Name the team.

Somehow I doubt Matthew Perry and those other Hollywood posers could get 3 right.
