John Stockton is one of the best perimeter defenders to play in NBA.Also one of the greatest,even the greatest playmaker in history of NBA.
Michael Jordan will dunk on everybody who comes against and is tough defender too.
LeBron James is one of the only players who could defend Magic Johnson. Also great all-around player.
Dirk Nowitzki is one of the best post/faceup bigs in NBA history. Trails only .001% from Stocktons 3-point %.
Hakeem Olajuwon is the best defender who NBA has seen. Had 24-14 averages with 2.1 steals and 4.6 (!) blocks.

Build around wilts dominance and have shooters across the board to surround him with, then Isiah as the primary ball handler. Defensively, Wilt dominates the paint and nobody can get inside, Isiah is feisty and can get steals, and we'll run a zone to compensate for our lack of a perimeter defender.

Oh man.

I always thought he was so dominate just because everyone else was just not as big. He'd easily be the most athletic big in today's NBA with those numbers. Cool facts.

Wilt Chamberlain was 7-1 and 310 pounds. Even in today's game there isn't anyone that big.

Wiki says 7'1" 275. He got to 300+ later in his career but there's no way he retained that athleticism. He was 250 in when he put up those track and field stats.

So a Deandre Jordan type build but 2 inches taller. Obviously much more skilled and more athletic.

Wiki isn't accurate with those listings. Kevin McHale, for example, is listed at 210 pounds when he was actually 235.

Wilt was 275 pounds in his early years in the NBA. Around 1967 he had gotten up to 310 pounds. At the end of his career in Los Angeles he was upwards of 320.

He put up those numbers in college at 275 and it was clear at 275 with his freakishly long limbs that he could put on more weight without losing speed. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he was able to put similar numbers up at 300 pounds, which is about what he weighed by the time he hit his NBA prime. We've never seen anybody in the NBA that can match what Wilt can do athletically. He, at almost 300 pounds and 7'1", could run faster, jump higher, lift more, and play at full speed longer (people don't realize how great of endurance he had, especially given he was in an era where we hadn't advanced nearly as far in fitness technology as we have now, I mean he played all but two minutes in the entire season, and only missed those because he fouled out in a double OT game. He averaged 48.5 minutes a game that year in a 48 minute game) than LeBron, who is his closest competitior for the title most athletic NBA player ever, and he did so without the technological advances we have today, at 4 inches taller and much heavier. Is he the best player ever? No, but he's a d*mn close second to MJ in my opinion. Is he the most dominant physical presence ever and the most athletic player in NBA history? Absolutely. What I would have given to see him play live, as he was done playing long before I was born. Imagine Wilt in today's society with all of the advancements in physical training we've made since his day, it's crazy to think about what he could accomplish.

Wilt was ****ing skinny when he got into the league though. I don't believe any of his weight measurements are accurate throughout his career, other than possibly being around 300 once he hit the Lakers.

He only appeared skinny due to his ridiculously long arms and legs. He was nearly all muscle and also had legs like tree trunks (just very long tree trunks). Just look at him in Philly, there is no way anybody is gonna call this guy skinny

Just compare him to Nate Thurmond, (the guy defending him and grabbing his leg) who was 6'11" and roughly 230 pounds(which is comparable to many modern centers, like Joakim Noah, for example), and Wilt absolutely dwarfs him in height and thickness. Many don’t know it, but Wilt used to lift weights with Arnold Schwarzenegger and got his bench press up to over 500 lbs. He has been credited by many as having been able to bench as much as 500 pounds even during his college days, though this can't be confirmed, and he was a world class track and field star during those days, competing in the 440, shot put, broad jump, and high jump.

Also, to debunk the theory that he only dominated because of his era and the big men being smaller, feel fre to peruse this list of starting big men that played in his era that are similar in size to modern NBA centers and power forward, being 6'9"+

Idk, I'm looking at those pictures, and he's just as thick if not thicker than the 250 pound javale with much longer limbs and being taller by an inch or so, I see no reason he couldn't have been 275. His shoulders are much broader and his arms, at least from my view, look equally thick and built, if not moreso. Not to mention Wilt's wingspan was 7'8", and Javale's is 7'6". Also, even at 7'1" 250-260 he'd still be the biggest and strongest center in the NBA today and one of the biggest and strongest in any era. The only player in NBA history that could be stronger than him (and it's debatable) is shaq. So even if he is 'only 250' which is not skinny in the slightest, I don't see that as a knock on him or as making him not strong or making him skinny.

Also he spent the first three years in Philly before the warriors relocated to san fran. That is a picture of him from the Philadelphia Warriors, not the sixers, who he played for later in his career.

I don't think that's a picture of the Philadelphia Warriors, he's playing against Nate Thurmond who played for the San Francisco Warriors after they moved from Philly. He was Wilt's teammate before Wilt moved to play for the Sixers. Therefor it seems as though, since they are playing against each other, that it was when Wilt played for the Sixers.

Also I don't believe the "The City" jerseys were around until late 60's early 70's.. So that is likely even farther into his career, shortly before he moved to the Lakers..

That Phila jersey Wilt is wearing looks to be a late 60's-early 70's style as well. Probably from the championship season in '67 as the jerseys prior to that had a contrast color along the bottom under the numbers.
