Now you're comparing him to MJ. I remember Bernard King getting to the whole whenever he wanted to. What's the deal with the comparison to MJ? Because he was a shooting guard? MJ did things Dr J didn't do. If He was playing the 86 Celtics, or the 89 Pistons, you know you;d see him get whooped on and not scoring 30 or 40.

Ummm, if I remember correctly, 8 threes in a half.

                  Re: How good is Kobe?

There's more to basketball than being an athlete.

IMO, Pierce is every bit the player that T-mac is. BTW, That is bs that Pierce and TMAc are double or tripled. MOst of the time, they play a strict one on one game. I've watched many games and never see three guys triple teaming T-mac. Those teams run iso plays and they go to the rack one on one.

NOw, Kobe is in a league of his own. He's being doubled and trapped off of screen roll. Most teams in the west have died because they don't believe that fisher, fox, rice, horry, rush can hit those open shots. Who's getting them those open shots, Kobe off the high screen. Guys are wide open all over the court.

Just think of the things we have yet to see, we've never seen kobe run guys off of multiple screens (ala T-mac, Rip, Reggie), we don't even see kobe in the low post (like MJ), we don't see kobe running the wing on the break (the lakers are a half court team).

As shaq gets older, we will see the lakers start to actually run plays for Bryant. Bryant is still an immature player. He's squeezing shots off just to take shots. He's standing at the three point line while his teammates have trouble feeding a simple post entry pass to Shaq. How many times do you see kobe get thrown the ball with 5 seconds left on the shot clock for the bail out shot. Like every 3rd offensive set. You run that kid some plays and he will be jordanesque.

Now you're comparing him to MJ. I remember Bernard King getting to the whole whenever he wanted to. What's the deal with the comparison to MJ? Because he was a shooting guard? I saw what happened in the SA series. I didn't say he was a bad player. Again I say I give Kobe props, but you are so wanting to call me a ***** because I don't agree with you.
