I think he's the best shooting guard in the league. What you're really waiting for is a response like this: "Kobe as good as Jordan!? Heck yea he'll be as good as Jordan was!"

Pippen was a great player, and it is unfair to say that Pippen fell off after Jordan left because he didn't in 1994, and after 1998, Pippen was already old. The Bulls won 55 games in 1994 without Jordan, and lost in the 2nd round in seven games. If his support cast was so terrible, they wouldn't have been able to do this. The players that Jordan played with (Pippen, Ho Grant, Paxon, Armstrong, Kerr, Harper, Rodman, Kukoc) are vastly underrated in terms of what they meant to the team. If you actually watch old Bulls games, Jordan was incredible but his teammates were not scrubs. I don't know why all the Kobe haters want to make it seem like he isn't even close to Jordan...of course he is. While I'd still say Jordan is better, Kobe is very close, and one day might even be better. Open your eyes, Kobe is insane.

Bro, not you, but other Kobe fans here, and on tv, radio. I was saying it because they are on tv right now here in LA saying KG shouldn't have got the MVP it should be Kobe's and now Kobe is MJ. It's a riot bro because the licking is on. Nobody said all of this mess when he went 10-27 the last game.

Ok I have really only read the first couple posts in this thread, but you all really need to lighten up. No one is saying Kobe = MJ. Kobe isn't near MJ. BUT, you can't deny all the clutch shots Kobe has made no matter how big of a ***** you are. MJ made big shots. Kobe makes big shots. Seriously, when was the last time the game was on the line and Kobe missed the shot? Doc Rivers would probably agree with me when I say Kobe is no where near Jordan in accomplishments but in terms of making clutch shots, Kobe is right up there with Jordan. Don't let your hate blind you from his greatness!

Not to take anything away from Kobe's game, but, in clutch situations, the Lakers have Kobe, Shaq, Karl, and Gary. Not to say that the other 3 are trusted with the ball in those situations but they're big factors, so Kobe isn't as pressured. The Magic have T-Mac and the Celtics have Pierce. Who do you think would have a harder time in a clutch situation 80% of the time?

Agreed. This Kobe-Jordan BS is really getting on my nerves. This argument will never go anywhere.

Kobe-Jordan nonbeleivers: They will play the Shaq card.

THERE IS NO COMPARISON. They are two players playing in two different eras.

Can you say for sure that Kobe will be at Jordan's level? NO

Can you say for sure that Kobe will no reach Jordan's level? NO

Can we wait and see how Kobe's career plays out and then make comparisons? YES

Lets just leave it at that.
