(except the sensible one that realizes Shaq was breaking his foul)

Anyone who thinks Shaq should have been called for 6 fouls in the 4th period should just stop watching. Just write down your excuses for each Detroit loss and get it out of your system. Amazing how many people cry about refs when they lose.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Detroit fans have actually been pretty cool throughout the series. I don't know where you are getting the crying statement from.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Dynasty, click on the "1" and start reading. This aint a general comment about Piston fans it is specific to this thread. This thread has references per Piston fan where they are complaining about refs or specific calls.

    Page 1: kdre, jmood88, clay_os, mgoblue, mateen
    Page 2: ndeezlo, jmood88,
    Page 3: muzyk23, jmood88

That's where I get the crying statement from. I doubt anyone can find a thread where Laker fans are coming out of the woodworks with referee complaining. Even if there were a few bad calls, i.e. Prince on Kobe, or Ben's flop I never tie that to the outcome of the game. The ref would have to turn into Billy Crystal in that movie before I blame the ref for a loss. That's loser talk. Winners play through the game and try to adjust to the refs, whether it be by taking a technical to make their point and get a make up call, or tweaking the refs between games.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Nobody is crying. You would have to be blind not to see that the refs give preferential treatment to the lakers, especially shaq.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

That's loser talk, the Lakers lost tonight, and guess what, it wasn't because of the officials, the Lakers just flat out sucked tonight. You see, that's how you dont pass the buck. You should try it, pretend that games aren't won or lost on one or two questionable calls and look at the complete game. Geesh, must suck to root for the refs to punish your opponent instead of flat out beating them.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

When did I say that the pistons lost because of the refs? Where?

See this is what confuses me. When the Lakers win a game, any game, the refs are ALWAYS brought up saying that they exclusively help out the Lakers because the number of fouls called and free throw attempts were in their favor. But any time the Lakers lose and the Lakers opponents get the calls go their way, the refs have all of a sudden called it like it was suppose to be called. I just don't get how that works

That's what I'm saying. People only call it a good game when the Lakers are on the low side of attempted free throws and stuff like that. In the T'wolves series, in which I thought was well officiated, T'wolves fans would always say how much the Lakers have an advantage against the refs. Lakers had so many more attempted free throws than the Wolves and I pointed out that it was because they were aggresive. But I only get the same replies: Refs love the Lakers. I'm looking at this series and the Pistons have 35 more attempted free throws, and I realize that the reason of that is because the Pistons are much more aggressive on the offensive end. I accept the disparity in the free throws because I know aggression leads to trips to the line. I still don't understand why people don't see it the same way for the Lakers.

Because it's been clear that players like kobe and shaq(very apparent with shaq) that the refs rarely call fouls on them.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Some of the fouls that SHaq "gets away with" are not really fouls, they are just cases where he's big and the players making contact with him are small. I've seen so many cases where Shaq is standing there, hands straight up, and Tony Parker, or Steve Francis just come in and throw themselves into Shaq. What is Shaq suppose to do? If he moves out of the way, its two points. That kind of contact isn't a foul. But when he brings his hands down, then that's an obvious foul.
