Some of the fouls that SHaq "gets away with" are not really fouls, they are just cases where he's big and the players making contact with him are small. I've seen so many cases where Shaq is standing there, hands straight up, and Tony Parker, or Steve Francis just come in and throw themselves into Shaq. What is Shaq suppose to do? If he moves out of the way, its two points. That kind of contact isn't a foul. But when he brings his hands down, then that's an obvious foul.

I think he means things like that last Wallace call st Staples, or the Madsen call where he was elbowed in the face and he was called for the foul instead, or how many times Mutombo got elbowed square dead in the bridge of his nose over and over, and no foul, or when Shaq broke B. Jacksons hand and no foul, and so on..

The Wallace call could have gone either way. There was no contact affecting the shot, but there was contact at the body. The Bobby Jackson case was an obvious foul, where the refs were blind. Madsen, however, he is almost parallel to the ground and he puts his body so low that his face gets in the way. When Shaq turns, Madsen's face is waiting there to be hit. That's a rule where you have to give the offensive player space to move, and Madsen wasn't allowing that. But I do agree about the BJackson non-call.

Can we cease with the myths about the refs? Shaq had 2 ft attempts last game, so the argument is null and void. Also it defies logic, if a ref is going to call a game favorably for the Lakers, then they would do it regardless of the arena. Unless all of a sudden the Staples Center became Cameron Indoor stadium, I doubt the Laker fans are influencing the referees to make any home team calls.

As for being demoralized, not hardly, I know that it is a seven game series, not best out of three. Ask the spurs about celebrating too early. Things happen in the playoffs, so dont celebrate too early. Unless you have a fond taste for the crow.
