Does anyone expect him to change his game a little?
Me too jeebs. He's already talked about what he's going to be doing different. I swear I hope he stays healthy this year. I need to see this dude back to himself for good.

“I think you will see that next year. Just trying to keep people off my body. Using a lot of floaters, using a lot of pull-ups, stuff like that, so I won’t get touched as much,” Rose said. “I’m a totally different player. It comes with experience, just playing through your mistakes. Just playing in an NBA game, you’re going to learn. So I’m happy that I had people around me to give me advice, learn from people and I’m happy I have the I.Q. to actually learn.

“Jump shots, floaters, just everything. Just trying to find ways to make the game easy. Trying to sharpen up every area of my game and really become a leader by being vocal,” he continued. “Body control. I’m able to control my body a little bit more, using my speed more. Being smart with my speed, instead of just running wild out there and being smart, becoming a smarter player. But I’m mad it took seven years to learn.”

To hear Rose tell it, he's right where he belongs.

"I've been preparing for this for a long time," he said. "It's probably big for everyone else because they haven't seen me. It's kind of weird. People are kind of like in awe to even see me run down the floor, like I'm handicapped or something.

"This is only the beginning of a long journey. But my confidence level is through the roof."

Dude moved through crowds like Allen Iverson did.

        That quickness was no joke

It's funny I've been watching those since I made that post lol.

edit: You guys should go back and watch him in college highlights. I was just watching his game vs Russell Westbrook tournament.

But I can't wait to see the changes he has made. Hopefully people give him a chance to adjust.

So the Spurs won't let Manu play. I mean dude come on already. Your 37 years old. Coming off an injury in the playoffs. I get the whole pride thing for ones country.

I was just reading that the Argentine Basketball Association is down 20 million dollars. Someone been stealing. I wouldn't send my player into a situation like that either.

Who's starting lineup do you guys like more for USA?

              Steve Smith's

              Derrick Rose
              James Harden
              Kevin Durant
              Anthony Davis
              DeMarcus Cousins

              or Grant Hill's

              Kyrie Irving
              James Harden
              Paul George
              Kevin Durant
              Anthony Davis

I think I'd roll with Smitty's as I like the size they take into the tournament with that lineup as opposed to playing smaller with Hill's. I especially don't like that defense in the backcourt with Irving and Harden. Rose would be an upgrade defensively back there over Irving, which would put them in a better spot there.

The only team that can possibly beat us is spain, so I agree that the bigger lineup is the way to go.

I don't know if the line up matters much because everyone will get minutes and lots of depth will likely be used.

I like that the first group has size and is an upgrade defensively. But I like the versatility that the 2nd group brings along with outside shooting..

Really it just depends on the opponent, I could see either being used depending on who they are playing. Also, depends which 5 player work best together.. That should ultimately decide the line up.

I'm pretty sure the second group will get most of the playing time or start.

We're playing with different rules and spreading the floor is much easier for the player to work. The big are nice and will probably get playing time. But I believe coach K will stick with what he's been doing for USA for a while now. Spread it out and play in your face defense.

edit: Even thought Davis is a freak and could play SF or SG. I'm pretty sure he will be in big man mode.
With opponents bigs covering freaks like Durant or Davis off the dribble. That's a tough cover for any big man.

Why couldn't you just put George in place of Harden at the 2 in Smith's lineup? George can play the 2, maybe not his most natural position but he can do it.

George at the 2 would just be unfair. I really hope to see him spend some time there. 6'9/10 PG and 6'10/11 Durant on the wings is something no one in the world can match up with.

I know people are worried about Spain but looking at the rosters there is no reason USA shouldn't take this.
