MAILMAN DELIVERS: Two unlucky Pistons fans started Game 3 with courtside seats but were escorted out of the Palace before tip-off after an altercation with Lakers forward Karl Malone.
Kurt Hofner was sitting two rows behind the fans when the incident happened. He said one fan started heckling Malone during pregame warm-ups. Hofner said the insults involved Malone's injured knee.
Malone turned and got into the fan's face, told him to never say that again, and poked him two or three times on the forehead with two fingers, Hofner said. Palace security members showed up minutes later to remove the two fans from the building.

The guy is on the radio and HE DID NOT get tossed. He said he told Malone:
- "You're nothing without Stockton. He was Batman and you were Robin."
- "This is your last chance and it ain't goin' back to LA."
Malone came over and said:
- "Shut the **** up!"
The guy who came over was an LA official and did not have the ability to throw anyone out.
When he broke it up, the guy told Malone something like:
- "You've never hit anyone who is looking, you cheap shot bitch."
Pretty funny!
