Re: Is it true. Shaq has demanded a trade??

I would trade Shaq before trading Kobe. Obviously, Shaq is the most dominant player in the game. Obviously, I would like it if we could keep both. But right now, Shaq is not getting any better, and Kobe is (most likely). Kobe has youth, energy, and more dedication than Shaq (from what I've seen).

As for Shaq being traded (God, I wish this does not happen), it is highly unlikey that the Lakers are gonna get another franchise player (Tmac, Garnett, Duncan, Kidd, Jermaine, etc).

Basically trading Shaq gets you these things:

            1) Avoids conflicts with Kobe.

            2) More quality players (Brand, Maggette, Jefferson, just to name a few).

            3) Allows the Lakers to dump 30 millions dollars for the 2006 free agency (Big Ben, Bobby Jackson, Richard Jefferson, Yao Ming).
