So am I. I would not trade Yao for ANYONE, save Duncan. McGrady cannot shut down the other team in the paint. Yao must continue to improve his game all around of course, but a Yao/T-Mac combo could be special.

Well I don't know about that. I don't think Steve is to blame for the Rockets early exit. I think the Rockets would be fine if they got a solid shooting guard that could play the point some as well. Move Mobley to the 6th man, or trade him for a Power Forward. IMO that is what the Rockets really need, a strong all-around PF to play opposite Yao. Currently Cato is great defensively and also at rebounding, but he has almost no offensive game. Taylor is just the opposite, all offense no defense. That is one thing that concerns me about the proposed T-Mac deal, if they include Howard. He and Mo Taylor seem too much alike, one is plenty. However, if the Rockets could miraculously get a PF like Brand, I think that would go a long way towards making them a better team. I had heard of the Rockets having interest in Antonio McDyess, assuming he is healthy and can resurrect his career he could be a great fit.

                  Re: T-Mac to Houston??

Yao Ming is 21/22 years old. He has all the skills and the size. Just wait till he start getting the shaq calls. This kid has so much potential and means alot to the NBA. Yao Ming will be scoring 25 points a game and pulling down 15 rebounds and will be the international face of the NBA especially since the NBA has decided that it'd be more beneficial to grow interest around the world than in the US.

When you see Ming backing guys down, knocking guys over, and no fouls are being called (ala shaq); and the excuse that he's so big and is tough to referee becomes the mantra, you know that the memo has left stern's office and has been received by head of referees. Then you add his finesse game and legitimate basketball skills. Look out!

In my opinion, Houston needs to do this deal if they can. Ming is the best player on the team, and I believe Cutty Mobs is better than Stevie, or atleast I'd rather have Cutty.

A TMac/Ming Dynasty would be the deadly combination. If only they could think of a way to keep Cutty.
