i doubt you see him grow any more at all , and 2 inches would be a small miracle for the magic

thats what kills me about the Garnett comparisons , -Howard looks like he might be closer to 6'9" then 6'10" . Garnett is a legit 6'11.5+. Garnett is a skinny skyscrapper with a center's height who can play the perimeter / Howard is more of a true powerforward size who is a good athlete and has shown the ability to run the floor in highschool.
Howard might be more similar to Amare Staudamire then he is to Garnett. The only Garnett type thing about him is he came straight from highschool and he is a powerforward.

Hey that sounds great. Im not a medical doctor and i haven't seen the state of the art bone scans and physicals they did on big Howard.
But i take all that type of pre-draft info with a grain of salt. (too many times have i heard a football player hyped up before the nfl draft and then the outcome is different then advertised)
It is just very rare for a guy to put on a couple of inches at his age. How old IS Howard 18 19 or 20 ? older ?

Im not trying to be argumentative , because im sure u heard that info about him possibly growing, but i am saying It don't happen often. In sports or business or betting or whatever you can't count on rare stuff like that. Stuff like that you just have to say - hey theres a chance he may still be growing , and if so AWESOME but in the meantime just evaluate him on what is true in the here and now.


- if i would have to guess i would think Howard is just about finished growing because he is starting to fill out and get stronger. Most people stop being as skinny when they finish their growth spurt because teh weight catches up to the height.

If he doesn't grow another cm he will be fine. at 6-9 3/4 with his athletic ability he is right in the mold of todays young elite powerforwards. J.O'neal is only about a half inch taller. Amare Staudamire same type of player, He has a much better body then Boozer ,.

The pistons have hopefully brought defense into popularity and Howard has the potential to have enough quickness to guard even guys like nowitzki and garnett. Dirk would give him problems far on the perimeter , but thats something Howard could set a goal to acheive.

He appears to have the speed to get out on a fastbreak or loose ball and finish with a dunk. Thats really the most exciting part of his offensive game. We want to see his running game. Players like that can be superstars in the next 5 years because of the zone defense. You gonna see more athletic zones and Howard can get down the floor before the Zone can set up ! Hes got enough ability that he can force man to man. - Hes a finisher who can also be a decent scoring option in the half court!

Orlando is a great great place to be a talented superstar. They expect a little more scoring from their stars and a lot of players have grown into their potential their. Management will be crucial , to develop Howard WISELY and to build a contender alongside/around him.



If they happen to get Steve Francis / Cutino Mobly then we will see an excellent Running game.

clarification i only meant that for his size and speed he has an advantage over most in the league if used right. If he grows like they say he may he would be in elite company. and far as stop growing because he is 18. That a load of crap most people stop growing around that age. doctors will tell you men stop growing from 17-24. most women are 13-20. to name a few rodman graduated he 18 5ft 10 same with pippen and devon george. that is why pippen played point foward he had played point in high school before he went to college 6-7 what else shaq shoe size a 20 when he was 20 a 21 when he was 21 and 22 when he turned 22. There is guy who whent to school with me who was 5ft 5 on graduation 2 years later he is 6ft 6.
