Scheduling in NBA/NHL is ok and all, but I hate back to backs in scheduling, I know it's hard to create a schedule for 30 teams that works around arenas scheduling, national tv timeslots and all that, but I hate how much more back to backs are happening in NBA and NHL. To the point where a team gets an advantage cause they might play half as many back to backs as another team in their division. And then you have those random times where teams might get 4-5 days off between a game, and then suddenly play 4 games in 5 days in 4 diff cities right after that break.

Can't wait for game tonight! If Raptors start off the game like they've started most of their games, I think Bulls will take it, cause no way Raptors can have a crazy comeback vs a team like the Bulls. Magic,Celtics and stuff sure, but not the Bulls.

First Raptors regular season game on TNT in 12 years! Sure, they've sucked most of the years since that last game, but really thought they might have at least made it the year after winning the Atlantic the first time around(especially since the big 3 in Boston formed the following season,so it'd be Celtics vs defending division leading champs)

Meaning tonight we'll get to see more of:

They looked too lethargic and like they mailed it in. Ball movment was awful tonight on offense.

I sat on this game for a day, but I think I'm really ready to talk about it and it's not just overreaction.

I really do think Pat needs to blow this thing up. Before the season started I thought Miami had the pieces to compete in the East with Cleveland needing to gel, D-Rose being broken and the rest of the east being meh. Miami will not win anything with Bosh as the #1 option because ANYTIME he faces a legit big man he gets dominated.

In my opinion they have a good piece to start with in Napier. He's not a dominant PG, but I do think he can be a PG on a championship team. They're giving Deng almost 10 mil a year to do what exactly? I can't complain about Wade at $15 mil because he's still getting it when he gets on the court. Chalmers is garbage and needs to just be gone. I'm fine with Cole splitting time at the point.

I would move Bosh for a lottery pick, move Chalmers for a mid-low first rounder, start unloading some of the "James" role players like Birdman and Haslem (Who I like don't get me wrong) and start getting pieces in place for a Post-Wade Miami Heat team. I know Riles doesn't want to take the ego hit and would love to stick it to LeBron after the snub, but I think it's time to face the fact that this team doesn't have the intestinal fortitude to get out of the East in the state it's currently in without major injuries elsewhere.

Good luck finding someone to give a first round pick for Rio. Too many guards available and I don't think there is a team in the league willing to start him.

Bosh does get outplayed by seemingly often by decent bigman, I wouldn't say dominated, but what he does bring can't really be measured head-to-head.. His ability to stretch the floor and his versatility offensively is crucial in how Miami spaces the floor.. And his ability to help defensively is what Miami builds their defense upon.. Along with LeBron/Dengs versatility.. Not many big men can effectively hedge onto guards yet still hold ground against the best centers..

Also, I don't think you could find a lottery pick for Bosh.. He just gets paid too much for too long, and teams in the lottery are usually looking to grow and build, not invest everything on a guy who's about to age past his prime.. He's going to be making approximately 27mil at age 35, and if he's not enough for Miami to get over the hump why would a lesser team invest their future in him?

It'd be cool if Dunleavy or McDermott would try playing a little defense tonight.

Where's Noah too? Toronto just keeps curling screens right into the lane. Noah and Gasol watching.
