    Baker visits Cavaliers today about job opening

    The Cavaliers filled a need on Tuesday when they acquired point guard Eric Snow in a trade with the Philadelphia 76ers. The Cavs hope a visit today by forward Vin Baker will mean a more glaring void will be filled.

    According to a league source, Baker, an unrestricted free agent, will arrive in Cleveland today to discuss the possibility of joining the Cavs. If Baker signs with the Cavs, he would fill the vacant starting power-forward position left open when Carlos Boozer signed a free-agent deal with the Utah Jazz last week.



    I don't know if I like this move by the Cavs if they end up signing Vin. If he has his things straightened out, then it is fine and he will be a good addition, but we need a sober and drug free PF. Hopefully we can fill some more spots through trades and signings but who knows.

      Ya, I saw that on PTI today.

      Bad choice. The guy has been trash since the 97-98 season. There has to be better options out there for a young team such as Cleveland than Baker.

              Although I think this is another bad choice, the Cavs have reportedly offered Karl Malone part of the 5 Million Dollar MLE. I really don't like that. I like Malone and all, but he is too old.

              Another rumor around the area is that Snow is going out to a team for basically nothing, freeing up some space to bring in Stromile Swift. I like that move a whole lot better than Vin Baker and Karl Malone, but that could be just because I don't like the addition of Snow. I just don't like his style of play. He is a good defender, but not much past that.

                                                      i think stro would be a much better fit than both baker and malone. he would actually get quality minutes and i think he would be a perfect fit with lebron, someone who can run up and down the court. All he has to do is beef up and hit the weightroom
