I heard about it on a couple of other boards that they'd rather have Stephen A. Smith than him, so he was let go. Can anyone confirm?

I hope it isn't true. Smith has kind of gotten more of the TV time, but DA still had a lot of those rumors going and is a big part of ESPN.com's NBA section.

I think it may be true, but just wondering if any of you guys heard about it yet. As boneheaded as it sounds, they seem to have done it, and now we get to hear SAS scream at us much more now.

Would love to see a link. I just don't understand this one bit. DA is one TV sometimes but he is more news breaking type guy. Bucher, Stein, and Aldridge are the guys who find all the latest news where Stephen A. is just a TV personality. I've never seen on the ESPN bottom line "Stephen A. Smith reports that..."
