    Re: What a shocker

Whether or not she was raped in Colorado once....she was certainly raped by the court system and the media. I don't care if her history would make Jenna Jamison say "Damn!" She has rights to be protected. That court was sloppy! It was bush league! And it violated everything that the US Justice System is supposed to protect in order to make more young women who are the victims of violent crime (whether she was or not) come forward.

There is an imbalance in this country. Prosecuters vs. Hollywood Defense Attorneys is akin to the Globetrotters vs. The Washington Generals. Look at this case! Look at the Scott Peterson case! Hell...the Juice is loose!!! Civil cases are the only thing left (see OJ). But, money means nothing to these people.

Lady Justice is Blind....but she's a dumb bitch sometimes too!

Would you consider her raped by everyone if her allegations turn out to be a lie? She had sex with someone after Bryant. Most rape victims are scared to death of men for a while, yet she pulls down her panties again.

'most rape victims'...that's not everyone. People react to things differently. When close family members die, I get sad, but I don't bawl my eyes out like some. Maybe she was freaked out beyond belief, and wanted to just forget it ever happened, return to her normal life. I don't know, I can't look into her mind.

Also, I don't care if she screwed the whole Dallas Cowboys football team 3 hours after being with Kobe, in my eyes that makes her a total slut, but even prostitutes can be raped. A porn star could be raped on set, but because she's a porn star does she not have rights? I don't hate Kobe, and the only two people who know what happened were in that room, none of us know for sure. I'm just frustrated with the judicial system that allows a victim (or supposed victim, if you like) to get totally smeared like this. You know that if the accused wasn't Kobe, if it were me, I'd have been put in jail last year. Open and shut case. That's justice when the rich and famous are involved. Not the way it was meant to be, IMO

If she is slut, which it looks like that is the case, odds are she did not say "no" to Kobe. It shows a pattern of her behavior. She loves the beef.

I would LOVE to see your statistics to back up your "most rape victims are scared to death of men for a while".

Beyond your statement, to answer your question, the court has a responsibility to protect her for the sake of justice and for victims. Whether or not she was raped...how many women who ARE raped will not come forward because of this case???? A lot!!!!

What if she is lying and just looking for a payday? Who is the victim then?

                                Re: What a shocker

The entire case has been bungled from the jump. How do you continually release confidential documents to the media "by mistake"? It's pretty sad that all we've heard is she did this and that, but it still has nothing to do with what happened in that room.

You've seen the court totally ignoring specific laws, allowing the defense to call out her name in the open although under a gag order, and for the life of me I cant see why common sense doesnt play into this to just let the trial go on to get the story from both sides out.

Sure they've taken it to fully destroying all of her credibility but it has nothing to do with what happened in that room. It's like they're asking all of the wrong questions. Why will they not take Kobe's lies into account? The tape, the people he squealed on, which I'm still trying to figure out why he would name other players names when he slept with the girl, and noone else was there.

Folks are still looking at Kobe in public as this clean guy when we all know he isn't but its overlooked because of who he is. I had a guy at my job tell me he could care less if he raped her or not, he just wants him free so he can see him play.

The judge and the court should move the case simply because they've mishandeled information from a one sided standpoint.
