Its not like we decide to buy a game just because it has sneakers, it just that it makes the game more realistic. And isnt that what we want, to get these games as close to the NBA as we possibily can ?

Regardless of if they are the actual shoes in the game, no one should disagree that it definitely looks better now that they don't have those plain white and black shoes on! That looked straight up goofy! I don't think they spent all their development time on the shoes either...I'm pleased with their effort!

Well if you're so concerned about shoes, then you should be pissed if Live doesn't give the Celts black shoes at home.

Here's to the sneaker generation! Because we know it takes a genious to kill someone over a pair of shoes.

Nah I aint mad cause you could just go to edit player and add black shoes if it bothers you that much, because everything is editable in Live 03, but faces.

Actually you can see the structure from several of the playable views in 2k3. People like me want real arenas just like football fans want real stadiums. Madden fans would go crazy if they used the same stadium but different fields for every team.

I'm 24 so im probably at the tail end of the "sneaker generation". I like basketbball shoes and have spent a large amount of money on them in the past. I Istill dont understand why certain people obsess over which shoes are in a video game.

I dont think they spend ALL their development time making shoes either but I know it takes more time to put the actual nikes and reeboks in the game then to draw up 6 or 7 generic brands of shoes.

Basketball shoes to me in real life are very important. I am 32 years old and still spend at least $300 a year on gym shoes. My wife thinks I am crazy, but she respects it.

I like to have a new pair of indoor shoes for fall winter and summer. Once the winter get worn in, they become outdoor shoes.

So in NBA2K3 I want the option to at least have multiple shoes to choose from. I don't care about actual Nike shoes, I just want different looking shoes.

I like to create myself and play with Jordan and whatever team. I like to have my shoes (not white) I never buy white shoes in real life. I just want shoes in a game that look similar to the real shoes I buy.

i agree different shoes would add something to the game but i just dont like to think that the developers are wasting tme trying to make sure that the Nike Shox or Air Jordans are in the game.

Strange you mention Air Jordan's and Nike Shox

Right now I own the newest model of Nike Shox with the zipper up front. They are the most uncomfortable Nike's I have bought in years.

And this years Air Jordan's were the first ones I have NOT bought in over 7 years.

I am looking for another pair of Nike's today at lunch... I loved the first Nike Shox - I had two pair...

The shoes are just part of the realism of the game. Most video game players want there game as real to the sport as posible. No, having a particular brand of shoe does not make or break a game nor affect the playability but it does affect your percption of realism in the game.

Bottom line, all players don't wear the exact same uniform and paraphernalia. each has there own unique look and style. Just like when people wanted numbers on the jerseys, then the real faces and body builds, then the gear. It's just next in the logical evolution of games as each strives to bring closest representation of the sport to the gaming realm.

The key word in Video games is VIDEO as in the visuals.

Maybe something like nba street had for create a player. They had a variety of diff. shoes. Many of which were not name brand. They just looked cool. I'd be happy to take those generic shoes and have a color spectrum as an option and choose any color you want for those generic shoes.

As for me sneakers is a big factor, from last years 2k2, they almost killed me with the solid black and whites I mean thats all they had. From the latest shots, I do see several new kicks they have added to 2k3. Now as for the shoes having to be the exact replica, it shouldnt be a make or break thing. I beleive as long as the shoes close enough resembles the air jordans,shox, air forces, etc.. withouth having NIKE or REEBOX acutally on the shoes, thats fine. In other words, just a generic brand that resembles the actual shoes the players are sporting. They got a few that resembles the nike shox, a generic Tmac, and1's, J riches generic reebox and a couple others. Hopefully for 2k4 they would have a wider variety of shoes to choose from. (generic air jordans maybe)

I personally like basketball shoes. I buy pair every year and always get the newest model. Currently I have the new KGs.

As for basketball shoes in video games, it's a good addition, but a lot of people don't seem to care, because they don't look at that when they play. I respect their opinions when they say that, but there are others who seem to care, because they like to see what shoes a player has on. But for those who don't care, then okay, I respect your opinions, becuase that's what you guys think, but for others it makes some difference.
