Re: MVP of the season so far?
Right now I would go like this for MVP.
1. Curry
2. Harden
3. James
4. AD
A lot can still change form now to the end of the year but I think curry and harden are easily 1 and 2. Cavs even though they have played a lot better latly 21 losses already is a lot for them so I think that hurts them a lot. Now If cavs go on another streak or 2 of wining 12 games in a row that could help a lot.Comment

Re: MVP of the season so far?
I also have to say that I don't think james has had a crazy good streaght of games yet this year. In the past 2 years james had a streaght of like 5-6 games or so where he averaged like 28 points on like 60% shooting. I know he did have one of like 5 games this year where he scored like 30 in all 5 games and like 35 or more in like 3 of them but still even in those 5 games he only shoot like 51%. James is shooting like 49% this year and while not bad that is down a good amount form his like 56% last year or even the year before we he was like 54%.Comment

Re: MVP of the season so far?
lol I didn't say that he is playing bad this year it just his fg % is down by about 7% this year and his rebounds are down some to and like I said he hasn't had a crazy streght of games shooting 60% like the last few years. I guess his greatniss has spoiled me lol. Considering his FG% is down some and his rebounding I guess he is starting to regress some even though to me he looks just has athlectic has he ever has before.Comment

I truly believe Lebron is playing the smart way. He is reserving himself for the playoff run they will make this year.Comment

Re: MVP of the season so far?
1) Curry- his team has done insanely well and has exceeded all predictions, and he is the catalyst of their success
2) Harden- he's probably been the best player in the league, without him, yhr Rockets wouldn't be better than a lottery team
3) LeBron- he's saving himself for the postseason, but that doesn't help him with MVPComment

Re: MVP of the season so far?
What exactly is the difference between Harden this year and Harden last year that makes folks think he's the MVP?
And I disagree with this being the best year as far as MVP Candidates go since realistically it's only down to 2 players based on what I've been reading about tgis(Curry/Harden)
Statistically his avergages are better. And if you count his assists into total point production that's almost half of his teams points. Nobody else on that team can create for themselves and they don't have any real knock down shooters. Good ones yes, but I will sag off Ariza to check Harden. Some teams do and he still drops 40.
Add rebounds and he's securing possessions for his team AND scoring AND creating lol...LeBron type stat stuffing on a top 4 team in the West = MVP.
Curry's numbers were better when he averaged 9 assists last year but if you take Curry off the Warriors they would still have another legit scoring option. And everybody else would move up in role. They wouldn't be 1 but they would def still have a playoff caliber team.Comment

No Dwight for a good amount of the season with that roster and they are a top 3 team in the west. That team without Harden playing the way he is, is a lottery team.

Re: MVP of the season so far?
Agree with what most of what you said about Harden but I disagree about Curry. Golden State definitely has one of the most talented teams in the NBA but Curry plays a huge part in everything that offense does and I doubt they have much of a shot at all to be a top 8 team in the West without him.
Last year I would have agreed with this, but Klay has been MUCH better at getting his own looks this year rather than Curry creating everything. And Green has played himself into a very big contract, factoring in how well he's played at both ends, he pretty much matches what guys like Kawhi did with their 3rd year.
But I do still agree with you, everything offensively starts and ends with Curry.. GS just has the luxury of being a great team even when he is having an off night.. Houston I'm not so sure.
At this point they are 1a and 1b in my opinion. Like I said before, I would give the slight edge to the league's top scorer, but by seasons end I think it'll come down to Curry and LeBron, with Harden at 3rd and Davis/Gasol filling out the 4 and 5 spot.. Unless the whole "best record" thing greatly swings some votes to Teague.
Still think this years MVP race is one of the best I've ever seen. The level these guys are playing at is crazy, usually one or two guys really separate themselves.. We've got 5 guys I think who could all legitimately steal some first place votes. It's crazy to see the year Lillard, Wall, Westbrook are having and they likely won't even get top 5 consideration. Such a stacked field this year.

MVP of the season so far?
What else have I even said that about?
I haven't saw many MVP races this deep, there isn't a freak season separating a LeBron or Durant caliber guy right now.
