They'll need to do more than just "make" the playoffs. Durant's been in and out of the line up, for sure, but overall that team is underachieving what was expected of them. I don't see how he leaps over anyone considering that, even if he plays out of his mind the rest of the way to get them a 7 or 8 seed.

The fact that before he sat out he looked really out of sorts really hurts his MVP case, even though he wasn't 100%. I think Curry and Harden have sustained their high level of play from the start of the season and because of that consistency that puts them both ahead of Lebron.

If the Cavs can overtake Atlanta, then I might think twice. But as of now while Lebron is still by far the best player in the world, he hasn't had the best season in the NBA.
You (like DKTR before) are putting way too much weight into early season stats. If his numbers by the end of the year are on par with the others, the Cavs secure at least the #2 spot (seems like a lock at this point) and he continues playing like he has been since his injury, I'd actually be a little surprised if he didn't win it... no matter what Curry or Harden does. Especially if he keeps showing that he's clearly better than anyone else in the discussion in head to head match ups.

James Harden or Steph Curry, nobody else should be ahead of those two...

Probably just me but I could never vote for someone who chokes FTs in the clutch like LeBron.

Misunderstanding going on right here, never meant to criticize grammar. I just tried to put in a funny way that you need to include Lebron. Irony is tough if you don't use your first language I guess, my bad.

Gotta love when someone makes a bad joke and then gets mad when someone doesn't get it

I never said that Bron wasn't in the discussion, just not ahead of the two players I mentioned.

I may have to retract my statement about Westbrook. I still think it'll be VERY hard for him to pass the other 3 without a strong push up the standings, but if he keeps playing like this, my goodness.

And nice way to say "Don't forget about me!" comeback game for Anthony Davis too.

                          1. Curry
                          2. Westbrook
                          3. Harden

                            Still Harden. Easy choice.

Honestly, I feel like LeBron isn't getting love because LeBron isn't playing like old LeBron.. He's still playing just as well, at times better, than the other guys getting votes.. He shouldn't be penalized because he had previous years of godmode.

If there were an anti MVP josh smith would win in a landslide. When he leaves a team they improve quickly. It's a shame because he is really talented.
