It's kind of disappointing to see Splitter go on a strict salary dump, but if we get Aldridge then it's definitely worth it.

I think that crazy December schedule and 2 triple overtime games took a ton out of him and he was dead legged by the end of the season. Pop needs to give him a reduced role (20 minutes a night with more Green, Leonard & 4th wing) and can't rely on him to close games. I think he has one last season in him or I hope so.

And strictly as a playmaker I think Manu still has a role in the NBA. He is probably the best (and riskiest) pure passing SG in the NBA. We just need better offensive options to relieve him of the scoring pressure.

Free agent Dwyane Wade and Miami are progressing in talks on a likely multi-year deal, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

They definitely need someone else to help but Pop has this thing about putting him out there whether he's done or not.

Lmao I hope no one actually thought that was possible. No other franchise than Miami would be that stupid to pay him as much as he was looking for.

Although he deserves a good pay day for the pay cut he took for the big 3 to help the organization. However, if it's more than 3 years at anywhere near the Max for the last few years good lord he will look like Rashard Lewis at the end of his career.

I like K.J. McDaniels if they can pry him away from the Houston Rockets. He can't shoot but would bring a lot of athleticism and defensive potential to the table.

They're probably going to waste him away on the bench in HOU

Mavs and Raps have had meetings with Wes Matthews.

Do the Raps have enough space to land him?

Depends on how much he wants and if we're keeping Demar or not.

I know Aldridge is a lost cause, but I'd like to see the Knicks land Monroe and Beverley. If they bring back Bargnani it better be at a rock bottom price.

Re: @JeffZillgitt intel on Wes Matthews/Raptors meeting, I'm told DeMar DeRozan was heavily involved in recruitment of both him and Carroll.

The $$ obviously doesn't work & I have no clue how it would, but the pitch was DeMar at the two, Wes at the three and Carroll at the four.
