CFL is an actual league where fans care about the whole thing. People don't watch it to see which player might one day make the NFL. I don't watch CFL,but the average fan for sure could tell you the past champs.

        Does

        look like people don't care?
That's not a fair comparison, that's a separate league in a different country. Not like anyone outside of Canada cares about it.

I'm sure there's some improvements they could make to the D-League, but its never going to be big nor does it need to be. NBA rosters are smaller than other sports so there's not as much of an opportunity for guys to work there way up, and the top draft picks aren't going to start playing in the D-League like baseball and hockey

Sounds like they gave up a 2nd round pick that will never actually be conveyed, and also acquired a 2nd round pick, so basically PJIII & 2nd round pick for nothing.

This will probably never amount to anything, but it's basically a low-risk, ??? reward move.

I know the comment is sarcasm, but I feel like this is a really solid pickup for Boston. Low risk, high reward.

I feel like Perry Jones can still be an impact player in the NBA. Seeing what he did in his limited time in OKC, I think under the tutelage of Brad Stevens he could really flourish. Health and Brooks' dumpster fire of rotations killed his confidence and he was pretty much buried on the bench the second half of the season for really no other reason than maybe Brooks forgot he existed?

He has great length, a quick first step and a quick release. That and he can get to the rim. The knock on him has always been killer instinct/effort. Think a lot of that had to do with wavering confidence that was a result of the aforementioned. If he can shore up his effort on the defensive end, the Celtics just got themselves a potentially really dangerous 2 way player. He just needs the support and the opportunity.

Like i said i blame brooks here.

That said there is no way okc was going to initially offer Kanter 70 million and im sure it botched their plan to save more money

OKC didn't have a choice lose lose situation. They botched the Harden extension awfully as most will remember it as one of the worst trades in recent memory. Durant will be a free agent and they've avoided the tax like the plague. I guess they're trying to show Durant they'll dip in to win at the same time hedging there bets in case he does leave on a 23 yr old Center...who is literally the definition of empty stats. But whatever we'll see this year. Kanter doesn't make them better but hey they had to do something.

Love that. Trade harden to save money. Sign kanter and go 20 million over the tax

                      Great one there

His length will help. And like you said, low risk move. Hopefully he puts the work in needed to make the most out of the oppertunity.

In sad Celtics news fan favorite Gigi Datome signed a 3-year deal to play in Turkey.

Hope someone makes a 30 for 30 on how Presti and crew blew up a potential dynasty to save 5-6 million a year in the cap that ended up balooning anyway lol

I can see already that we've entered the dead zone of the NBA Offseason just by what's being talked about over the last few posts.
