I would consider him more likely to go there than any of those cities though. It's where he's from, and he's said himself he would like to play there.

Though I don't think he'll leave the Dubs.

If I'm a hornets fan idk how happy I am about that trade. Getting rid of Henderson should make you happy but one of the only two quality big men in your front court who still has a high ceiling is gone. I hope LA leaves just to see Vonleh grow in his place with Lillard. These deals just make the hornets maybe a contender for the bottom of the playoffs which personally is the worst place to be stuck at in the NBA in the inbetween with no hope for good talent in the draft and no good young pieces at least in charlottes case where your just a piece and some experience away.

I didn't watch but a few Portland games this year and Wes Matthews didn't seem like a deserving max player. He was good don't get me wrong and some ******* will give him the max but I didn't think he was worth it.

I'd take one of his bench guys in Milwaukee to get them to remove the protection from their first round pick that we have coming to us.

I don't get to watch Portland as much as I'd like, but I feel like Wes is more of a spot up shooter, whereas Klay can create his own shot, come off screens, etc.

                    Re: 2015 Offseason Thread

I brought him up originally in my other post.

I just felt it was odd that so many people were backing Klay as a max player but seem to be bothered by Mathews being a "near max" player.

Wes, IMO anyways, is a better defender than Klay but it's seems that Klay gets loads of over praise as being a great two-way player.

Offensively Klay is a little better, but still isn't great when he has to create his own looks. He was worthless in the finals aside from 1 game.

Just seemed odd that someone like Klay is touted so highly as a two-way threat easily deserving of a max contract while Wes is brought down because someone said "near max".

Nobody is bringing Wes down, stop making **** up. You're basically saying because other GMs are dumb to issue out max contracts to other players that aren't worthy of one, they should continue to do that by giving him one. Do you not see how much little sense that makes? Lol

Just go ahead and drop this silly comparison as if they're both the same situations when we both know it's not. But I guess because since their specialties are to shoot 3s, that makes them the same.

Klay Thompson is better and he's also not coming off of a torn Achilles. Little difference there.

                          .

I'm not saying they should, I'm just saying he has good reason to be commanding that type of money. If he even is, which I kinda doubt he's asking for a max contract.

He said he wants $15 mil. Not sure if that's the max for him or not

I know you're a realistic fan so you're probably aware of this. However there needs to be no pressure on Charlotte to win now. Steph wasn't coming in 2017 regardless, but the clock hitting triple 0's last week pretty much sealed the deal on any hope of Steph leaving Golden State. Unless Delonte West suits up for Golden State at some point in the next few seasons, Steph ain't leaving anytime soon.
Believe me, I hold no illusions of the MVP leaving a budding dynasty to come to home in 2017 lol

I'm just saying that's a part of the win now focus, and a lot of people close to the organizaion have said as much. There's a reason they went for the ASG the same year his contract expires.
