It could work for a rotation guy, but Aldridge is getting the max no matter where he goes. If he's visiting Toronto, he's doing his due diligence as a free agent, assuming he's already decided which place he likes.

Sometimes guys just want to experience free agency. Even if they don't leave... they only usually get to do it once or twice, and why not see what other teams can offer.

Teams can't offer restricted free agents one year deals, but yes, league sources are telling us that Jimmy wants to sign with the Lakers for one year. Yawn.

          2. It's a business. Hometown only means so much.
          3. We will have the money to resign both, and hopefully we won't. Lou and Derozan are inefficient players on offense who don't play defense. Aldrige would bring us to near the cap exactly, and then the cap will spike next year. Derozan will want $20m, and that's disgusting. Lou at $9m isn't horrendous but it's so unnecessary.
          4. Leafs want to take on bad contracts for assets. They'll be around the cap. The luxury tax is the real deal. No one wants to spend that.

There are 3 different summer leagues. The 24 team one is in Vegas. There's still the Orlando Summer League and the Utah Jazz (yes seriously) summer league.

Oh yeah, he could, no doubt. But you're risking an awful lot by doing that. Anything can happen, and when you're looking at $90M or so, it's hard to pass up.

Not saying this would happen, I just want to see who people think is more important to the Bulls current and future success.

Jimmy Butler, by a decent gap

I think he's a terrible fit as is, though. Lowry and DD are high-usage players as is, bringing in LMA adds a third. If it leads to a DD trade, though, I'd be very, very happy with that scenario, especially if we get something of valuable for Demar. Lowry/?/James Johnson/LMA/Val is a really nice lineup depending on who the 2 is, methinks.

There were rumors of the cavs offering a package with Haywood's cap for DeRozan.. I thought it was stupid.. But if yall sign LA then that could free you up to sign a guard.

Raptors aren't dumping DeRozans contract or anything....I'm sure they'd rather go over the luxury tax than dump away a player simply cause of cap reasons.

I don't think we move DeRozan for purely cap room right now. With the cap spiking, I don't think we're in any rush.

Hopefully we sign Millsap instead, honestly, but I'd still like to move Demar.
