Re: RIP Flip Saunders
Oh no. I didn't know until now. Rest in peace, Flip. Best regards to his family. I'm sure KG took it hard too. -
Re: RIP Flip Saunders
2 days ago I read he was going to miss the entire season to battle cancer.
F cancer
RIP Saunders, one of the greatest coaches is gone today, but not forgotten.

He's still the in-game coach for the wolves in 2k16. Definitely going to save this rosterComment

Re: RIP Flip Saunders
Not much of a basketball fan, but I listened to Flip's segments on local radio often. He was a very eloquent guy; seemed to be very kind as well.

Re: RIP Flip Saunders
Beyond shocked.
Was just thinking yesterday that I hope he makes it back this season. Had no idea he was this bad.

Re: RIP Flip Saunders
Had the EXACT train of thought. These things are never easy to deal with, and there may have been more known behind the scenes that we didn't catch wind of, but this seemed to escalate really quickly.
I do hope they just did a good job of hiding it and those close to him had time to process and say their proper good byes. Sorry to see you go.Comment

Re: RIP Flip Saunders
From what everyone that ever met him says, just a really great, down-to-earth guy who had a great life on and off the court. 60 is just so young in this day and age.
Thanks for doing your best with the Pistons, and RIP.Comment
