I'm laughing at the fact that he said, he had been wearing the same shirt for like a week. C'mon Kobes even if you didnt pack any luggage you cant even take some of those millions and go buy a shirt at Dillards or something.

      Yeah charles,

i don't see how he thought finking on shaq o the colorado police was going to help him any...makes it sound like he was just trying to smear someone's name along with his. I mean, are we supposed to beleive that he could really be so naive as to think that telling the police about shaq could actually help him in any way?

              Re: Uncensored Kobe Interview Out!!!!

here is the excert from the atlanta journal constitution

"Much of Bryant's 75-minute interview was tape-recorded, but Det. Doug Winters wrote that the reference to O'Neal came after his partner, Det. Dan Loya, had turned off the recorder.
The incident report, a portion of which was reviewed by the Los Angeles Times, is part of the sealed file in the criminal case that was brought against Bryant last year and dropped this month. A Colorado judge has a motion before him to unseal documents from the case.

"Bryant made a comment to us about what another teammate does in situations like these," Winters wrote. "Bryant stated he should have done what Shaq (Shaquille O'Neal) does. Bryant stated that Shaq would pay his women not to say anything. He stated Shaq has paid up to a million dollars already for situations like this. He stated he, Bryant, treats a woman with respect, therefore they shouldn't say anything."

In a closed court proceeding before the felony charge was dropped, Bryant's attorneys fought successfully to have the reference to O'Neal declared inadmissible at trial, according to a prosecution source.

It is unclear precisely what Bryant meant by the remarks attributed to him. There have been no published reports of O'Neal ever being accused of any sex crime. He was charged with misdemeanor battery in Orange County, Fla., in 1998 after a 23-year-old Walt Disney World employee claimed he grabbed her neck, but the case was dismissed in 2000. Rogers said Tuesday that he did not know whether O'Neal confronted Bryant about the comments before or during the 2003-04 season. Two members of last season's Laker team, reached by telephone, said they were unaware of Bryant's purported comments and that there had been no obvious change in a relationship that was strained for years.

True but I think the blood had rushed from his brain at that point.

                      Re: Uncensored Kobe Interview Out!!!!

I was hearing from the likes of Wendy Murphy that the taped interview was so damaging that Kobe would plead guilty rather than have this come out.

After reading it, it points more to his innocence. This is the kobe that should have been marketed. Not kobe the golden boy. Kobe the rock star.

Basically the point of contention is when Kobe asks her if could bust on her face. She says no. Did he or didn't he?

I think that the Shaq part is also revealing. Kobe is wondering what the heck is going on and he remembers that shaq steps up before police are involved and hands out a check.

Just shows that Kobe doesn't know the game like Shaq and Jordan. Those guys keep women in cities, they don't get this hassle because they pay up front.

Now that everything about kobe is out there, don't look for any kind of out of court settlement.

Net effect - zero on kobe. The only thing the casual fan cares about was the outcome of the criminal case. But this coupled with the poor olympic showing and other player's past transgressions will cast a darker shadow on the NBA as a whole.

Kobe's popularity/notoriety will dominate/overshadow the league till he retires.

The christmas day game may be the highest televised nba game in years.

If you can't attract fans with the play of the athletes, attract fans with a scandal (ice skating/Harding/Kerrigan).

NBA loves it. Of course the first network game is going to be Kobe vs. Shaq, not Lakers vs. Heat.

See I think you are missing the point. At this point no one cares about the trial with the girl. He beat that rap so to speak. We all know we will get light in the pockets via the civil trial (ala OJ).

The fact remains that he lost major credibility amongst his counterparts in the league. I dont care how bad it gets for you, you just dont fink/rat on a guy like that. Kobe will still rack up points every night, his talent is unquesntioned.

Most NBA players are young men with money from around the way. A code of conduct was violated by Kobe that dates back to the beginning of time, esp in the hood or corporate america. YOU DO NOT RAT OUT A GUY.

What makes this worse, its an issue that did not even involve Shaq. Kobe gets caught up in CO b/c he was tricking on his wife and Shaq's name comes up?!?!?!! Secondly it adds stress/drama to Shaq's life. Shaq got married a few months ago. Anything he did prior to that is his business, and between himself and his maker.

Shaq and Kobe did not get along, why on earth would he even have that type of conversation with Kobe. Kobe probably heard something second hand and repeated it at the worst time possible.

Would you want to even associate with a guy like that?

Well said, bro.... As I posted on the other thread, Kobe's gonna lose points with his own teammates... I bet cats like Lamar Odom and Caron Butler look at this dude sideways now... I may ball with you, but I'll keep it at that, because you have snitch tendencies.

It galled me to no end that he put Shaq's name in the mix because he got tripped up in his own junk.
