Re: NBA Cutting Draft Down to ONE Round?

there arent 30 nba caliber college players that should be drafted, imo...

a lot of kids are nice, but for the long haul, their games wont mean nothing...a high percentage of players drafted 1-5 have had signicant, franchise changing impacts on their teams...and free agency plays a bigger role some seasons than the draft itself

basically the nba is trying to save some cash(in many ways) with this one

    this may be too drastic...

a lot of young bucks, dont want to go to school anyway, so they'll just become FA's

    ...waste of time

yes, but even if it prevents 50%, or even 25% of fringe 1st rounders from entering the draft, the college game will improve a LOT. Those guys are almost always the best player on their college team. Give about 10-15 college teams their best player back for an extra year and see how much better the competition becomes.

and the college guys will still get bent over backwards

did you guys realize that the billion dollar cbs deal, is more than the annual funds that are provided to a program to help underpriveleged school children...i believe the program is called no child left behind

            aint that ironic :y4:

they get free meals, free education, free housing.....i really don't see how bad they have it since i pay for my meals, education, and housing. i support the 1 rd limit as well. these last few drafts have been some of the worst in memory.

the euro trend is starting to wear down due to alot of euro busts......we all know euro players can shoot but none of them have the heart to actually kill in the NBA. euro players are not too tough mentally and physically.

No....2003 draft was one of the best in history. Still too early to predetermine, yes, but from what we've seen so far, its shaping out to be a historic draft.
