Yeah, Utah's defense in the last few minutes of the 4th is appalling...maybe they were allowing him to score/win the game because they were up by double digits for most of the game and it was evident the only offense would be Kobe.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Pretty much my thoughts. Would've been offended as a fan if he had 15 pts and 20 Asts and 8 Hockey assists. Would've been like "MFer NOW you wanna play like this?"

If I had to guess how many points he would've had before last night, I would've guessed around 20-25, which would've been a fine way to go out. Would've even been good with 30 as well.

There are 3 nights out of the year where I don't give a damn how many shots a player takes: Opening night, the ASG and the last night of the regular season especially when it involves teams that aren't playing for anything after that night.

I had similar thoughts as I saw those shot attempt numbers escalating to obscenely grotesque proportions all evening. Things were looking rightfully atrocious before his end-spurt. But you're right, to a large degree, that sums up a lot of what Bryant was all about.

That said, it sounds like he had a very nice and hot conclusion to the game. But the fact that someone can rifle up something like 43 or 44 attempts while hitting at what I'm guessing had to have been a 34ish percent clip (before the finishing streak) without batting an eyelash is just about the most Kobe Bryant thing ever. Some folks loved him for that, and that's cool, but I could just never get on board with it all.

Props to the Golden State Warriors for breaking the single-season record for wins. I didn't watch because I knew it would be a blow out, but they are an absolutely incredible team and it will take an out-of--body performance by a team to eliminate them.

Stephen Curry continues to amaze too, man. I don't think he should win unanimously, Kawhi Leonard deserves some 1st place votes for the season he's had, but wouldn't be too upset if he did.

Now, time to see if the Clippers, Thunder or Spurs have anything for them at all.

          Bring on Saturday, baby!!!!!

It was a fun performance. I enjoyed it. I have zero issue with him jacking up that many shots but analyzing that performance seriously.... please.

Just remember why yall bashing Kobe for taking 50 shots to get 60 points in completely meaningless game (a game where Kobe, the other players, fans at the game, clearly wanted him to have a "big" night) that Wilt basically did this for an entire season and is praised for it. 40 shots a game, to average 50 points a game. Every single night at that level of "selfishness" as you guys are calling it.

I love me some Kawhi, but I can't give him any first place votes this year. I could see Westbrook maybe stealing a couple, but I've probably got Kawhi behind Curry, RW, LeBron, maybe Durant.

I get where you're coming from. The year Wilt did that though he basically cemented his legacy as the ultimate selfish player in lot of people's eyes.

Let's not pretend like Wilt doesn't have his detractors. Every player does. Hell even Jordan does.

If you had fun watching Kobe go out in a blaze of selfish glory cool, good for you. Doesn't suddenly make people who didn't like it wrong for their thoughts.

I would not be surprised to see one of these idiot Voters to vote for someone other than Curry for MVP, even though the gap between 1st and 2nd is pretty significant this year.

MVP and ROY SHOULD be the only 2 unanimous winners this year.

Yeah it's not even close this year. It's been clear from start to finish of the year who's been MVP and who's the ROY. There is no reason at all to screw this up.

Snyder was buddies with Kobe for awhile as an assistant in L.A.

If the Jazz had something to play for and suited up Favors, Gobert, and Burks, this would have been a bloodbath. Oh well. At least none of our guys got injured, that's all I can say.

I think DPOY should be as well.

You put "selfishness" in quotes but Wilt is probably the most notoriously selfish athlete in history based on stories of him. Him being selfish doesn't make Kobe less selfish.

Also, Wilt was still making more than half his shots lol
