Successful game by the Timberwolves.
Warriors always go stretches where they simply play sloppy, and it's not only this game, but even in games where they blow teams out there are stretches where they don't value the ball. Careless passes, forcing passes, forcing things when it's not there. Frequently not understanding the situation.
Yes, they're very good three point shooters, but when a big lead dwindles down to 2 or the game is tied, there's really no need to chuck up a 3 attempting to dagger the opponents even if it's Curry or Klay, especially early in the shot clock or midway through the shot clock. Slowly stretch the lead with twos and locking down on defense could be a good recipe to build the lead. Stretch the lead to 9 or 10, then splashes a three. It doesn't always have to come from homerun splashes during close stretches.
Forget about the record if they play careless for stretches. Come playoff time, keep the turnovers down and stop forcing things, and understand the situation.
Come Thursday against the Spurs (even if Parker, Ginobli, Duncan, Kawhi takes the night off and only the bench plays), Warriors could lose back to back for the first time all year, and to add home back to back losses.
Onto the next.
