This whole new cap system is just going to take getting used to. Mike fn Conley is getting $30.6 mil per year for crying out loud. It's all new and seems crazy but if Mozgov is making about half of what Conley is making...sounds about right.

re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread
Sure I would have prefered if L.A. had signed Mozgov to a 3year with the last year being a team option but it is what it is. Like I said there are deals out there for injury prone players who cripple the team's cap that are worst than this.
If Golden State and the Spurs are on a guy a team like the lakers have to overpay, it is what it is. Lakers needed a center and they got mozgov. A guy who doesn't need the ball and isn't a diva and who occasionnaly when healthy can play.
Sure it's easy to complain but we don't know how negociations went.Comment

And Wade's gonna take a paycut to sign with 2 of the worst teams in the East?
He needs to be more creative than this.Comment

This next lockout is gonna be like Captain America Civil War with the pre-TV deal players fighting against the post-TV deal players.Comment

Beal, Turner, Whiteside, Parsons, and Hill, unless I'm forgetting any other bad deals. And it's only going to get worse.
Who would say that Dwights contract looks pretty good all things considered?Comment

I don't at all buy the notion that Wade will leave Miami, but the Bucks have a pretty easy path to being able to offer more money than Miami can (unless Miami dumps Dragic). No clue how the Knicks could possibly afford him though.

Yeah, if Miami is chasing Durant they'll have to get Dragic/McRob/etc off the books and ask DWade to take another paycut which is questionable. Don't blame him for being pissed but mob boss Riley could work his magic.Comment
